We have several folding stools around the home, as well as number of the newer expanding type – mainly due to owning a vertically-challenged wife! LOL!This is the first “taller” folding-stool that we have seen. We ordered this one to add to our collection for me this time.This is a perfect height to sit on and also, will allow us to dump our much heavier and shorter, 1-step-stool; which being bulkier, takes up a lot more room and therefore, is always getting in the way.We have had our current folding plastic stools for many years now, and they have been fantastically reliable and have never let us down when called up to perform their duty. I have no doubt, that this stool, once assembled and added to our growing stool collection, will do the same.A word of warning. For those who are untrained in the way of these stools, I can personally bear witness that they can sometime “nip” your fingers or skin at times if not careful, when opening or closing. So, watch out!We love the weight load capacity of 400lbs that is more than enough for either of us and the integral folding carry-handle, that they have cleverly built into this newer, taller, variant of this stool.Best of all with this stool-tpye, is their portability. They stow flat, and are lighweight enough to carry anywhere.This one was a little taller than the "normal" height-sized stool of this type. So, it was priced a little higher than some that we previously ordered. However, that extra height makes it almost a perfect height for a sitting stool too! So, in my view, two for the price of one!

The media could not be loaded.  This step stool will be handy for sitting on. However, it's a wee bit high for jumping up on because it's easy to knock over. That's also an issue if you used it to climb onto a desk or table and you knock it over while getting down. I wish it were a little more sturdy. The seller claims that it has a 400lb capacity. No doubt that is a "static" load. But if you happen to load this up a little off kilter then this may collapse with a lot less than 400lb.It's got it's uses and is a handy little folding stool, but should be used with care when using it to stand on. That being said, I find it useful outside and in the garage. It also doesn't take up too much space.

Needed something to keep upstairs for helping to change air filters (without having to come downstairs to get the step stool). This is very high quality and very compact / flat for storage - keep it in the washer/dryer closet. It’s definitely not the cheapo version of similar builds that I’ve seen previously. Recommend.

It's just the right height, too.- Strong. It's plastic, but it's sturdy. It holds me well, and confidently, and I'm a clumsy old fat man.- Handy. Immediately collapsible, we can store it anywhere.

I was a little confused at first. I ripped it out of the packaging, threw it on the floor and it held me up. But the folding was really odd. Then I saw these two plastic pieces taped to the package, and looked to see what they were for. OH!!! These are the hinge pins so the thing doesn't fall apart when you fold it. I popped them in, and aha, now it makes sense.Anyway, seriously though, nice step stool. It folds to store out of the way. I should have bought one of these 20 years ago. I'm the guy who stands on a (white fabric) dining room chair if I need to get something up high. And if I need to get up higher, I go get my step ladder. This folds up to fit next to my fridge, and it's very stable. And no more ruining dining chairs with my dirty feet.

Folds flat , sturdy once opened. Perfect.
