Jimi Hendrix Experience at the Royal Albert Hall in February, 1969.
This rather confusing CD by the Jimi Hendrix Experience is part of a famous concert at the Royal Albert Hall on February 24, 1969.The 12 tracks are strangely sequenced with some repetition but Hendrix is in superb form especially on three versions of Elmore James' 'Bleeding Heart', playing blues-drenched guitar. The music was intended for the soundtrack to a film 'Experience' which, according to Paul Jones on BBC Radio 2, was only screened once.Despite its limitations, this 65-minute CD is well worth hearing and, hopefully, an official complete recording of the Royal Albert Hall concerts on February 18 & 24, 1969 will eventually see the light of day.The track listing is as follows:1. Little Wing2. Voodoo Chile3. Room Full Of Mirrors4. Fire5. Purple Haze6. Wild Thing7. Bleeding Heart8. The Sunshine Of Your Love9. Room Full Of Mirrors(extended version)10. Bleeding Heart(extended version)11. Smashing Of The Amps12, C# Blues(People, People, People)
