Above average quality
This chocolate drink tastes great and is better than supermarket brands. It’s a little too sweet for me but my little girl loves it very much. I also use it to make mocha coffee for my wife and she said it’s brilliant. It is priced at £7.99 at the time of review which I think is reasonable considering the quality.

Lovely, one of the best out there
This was bought as a gift for my wife who loves the MB chocolates. This tastes quite chocoay and isn't too sweet. The taste is similar to the dusting on their chocolates. Just a shame there isn't a larger tub, lovely hot chocolate

Nice but nothing special
I don't drink a lot of hot chocolate, so don't really have a connoisseurs palate, but in my naive world there seems to be hot chocolate made from chocolate bits and hot chocolate made from powder. This is the latter. It's quite a dark powder and smells chocolatey.I made it up to their recommendations using 200ml milk to 2 heaped teaspoons. The chocolate it made was nice enough. I used milk heated in a milk frother and then added the hot chocolate. I did notice a bit of sediment at the bottom after I left it a bit so it obviously didn't dissolve that well.It was a nice sweetness and I enjoyed it, but it really didn't taste any different to any other hot chocolate to me so although it comes in very nice packaging, the price at the time of writing seems a little steep. The ingredients seem nice enough though, just sugar, cocoa and vanilla with a minimum 32% cocoa solids. However, there is a fairly all encompassing 'may contain' allergen warning covering Soy, Sulphites, Milk, gluten, nuts and Egg, which is always a bit of a concern as a Coeliac unable to eat gluten - however I didn't experience any problems after my one cup of it.

Very very sweet! and too expensive!
I love Monty Bojangles truffles and was excited to try this chocolate. My advice by a normal hot chocolate, Cadburys' is so much nicer, not overly sweet.Give this a miss. Very expensive to throw out, but that is exactly what I did - - - :(

Nice hot chocolate
This certainly isn't the best hot chocolate powder I've tried but it is rich and creamy and certainly a step above supermarket brands for a fair price of £7.99. I've enjoyed this so far. I'm not sure I'd buy it again as I'd rather spend a little bit more for higher quality but I do drink a lot of hot chocolate and I think this is a good one. Also love the container design- very cool

Tasty, rich and creamy.
This is the most enjoyable hot chocolate that I have made at home.In my opinion, there is a perfect blend of sugar and cocoa powder in this Monty Bojangles hot chocolate powder, and it makes for a pleasant, comforting cup of hot chocolate. Personally, I find the flavour to be rich, delicious, flavoursome, and not overly sweet or sickly.Unlike other hot chocolate powders, it does not contain milk powder, which is ideal for my personal requirements. I’ve been making this hot chocolate using oat milk, and the chocolate flavour still comes through deliciously with the alternative to dairy milk.It is a bit on the expensive side, but it contains a generous amount of minimum cocoa solids. Also, the chocolatey scent is notably richer and more luxurious than others on the market.Overall, it's better quality than any other hot chocolate I’ve made at home. I would order this again and recommend it for others – especially those looking for a creamy hot chocolate that doesn’t contain milk powder.

No Nonsense Chocolate
I used to hate the off-the-shelf hot chocolate powder as it was always bulked out with nonsense. This stuff is pretty straight forward - some decent cocoa plus sugar. And that's what this is, with added vanilla.I used to mix up something similar myself, so I'm pleasantly surprised with this.As a note though, this isn't "Instant" as this usually implies it has milk powder or similar in it and would be a "Just Add Water" product. This still requires milk.

Rich, Decadent Hot Chocolate for a Cosy Treat
I got this Monty Bojangles hot chocolate after trying their truffles, so I had high hopes for the same level of indulgence in drink form. I wanted something a bit more special than your standard hot chocolate powder, and with the Rainforest Alliance cocoa, I thought it would be a good balance between quality and sustainability. The taste did not disappoint. It’s rich and creamy, and you can tell straight away that it’s made with good cocoa. I like my hot chocolate to be decadent, and this definitely hits the mark without being overly sweet. It’s got that lovely deep chocolate flavour that you don’t often find in cheaper powders, and it feels like a real treat, especially when you top it with a bit of whipped cream or marshmallows. It mixes well with both milk and hot water, but I found it works best with milk for that extra creaminess. You only need a few spoonfuls to get a satisfying cup, so the 250g tin should last a while, which makes it a bit more justifiable for the price. The powder dissolves smoothly, with no unpleasant lumps left floating around, which is a small but important win!The packaging is lovely, making it feel more premium, so it would make a great gift for a chocolate lover. The tin is also sturdy and can be reused for other things once you’ve worked your way through it, which is a nice touch. The only downside for me is that it could be a bit thicker when mixed. It’s not watery, but if you prefer your hot chocolate really thick, almost like a dessert, you might want to experiment with adding a bit more powder than recommended or using full-fat milk. All in all, it’s a fantastic choice for anyone who loves a rich, satisfying hot chocolate experience. Perfect for cold evenings, or as a little luxury when you need a pick-me-up.
