Bright enough to see it in a dark corner
really bright yellow with silver ends. It looks the business and is just the right size for me to go boating.Inside is a small array of pockets to keep your bits and bobs in, and the rest is a single large storage area.Outside is a waterproof pocket for daily stuff (keys wallet etc.) But I couldn't say if it would stand up to a full immersion.The great thing for me is that opposed to other bags the opening is on the side rather then the end so you can open up the whole bag and get to whatever you are looking for without having to pick out the stuff at the top. That said - obviously there is a large opening that needs to keep waterproof. Personally I look at it as being waterproof and not immersion proof and use it on that basis.As with all bags - don't try to break records filling it up and you will be able to properly seal it. Carrying it is comfortable with a passed strap or handles, but it has rings for 2 straps and it would have been nice to have a second carry strap so that you can make it a make shift rucksac for short journeys from the car to the boat.

Does what I wanted it for
I bought this to take all the stuff I needed for a two week sailing passage from Mallorca to Tenerife via Gib, and it swallowed everything I needed with a bit of careful packing. The 40l is the right size to take as hand luggage on the plane, and the roll-down top and quick release strap work well. Fortunately I didn't have to put it's waterproof claims to the test, but it is well-made and I have no doubt that, if properly sealed, and it went overboard whilst getting on board, it will float for long enough to be able to fish it out again.

Great bag, recommended.
The bag is robust and suitable for heavy use where waterproofing is essential.I used mine as a bag strapped to my motorbike. No leaks in all weathers!The tabs on the bag make fixing easy.I bought my first one in 2015 (40l)I bought a second one this year of the same size to carry clothing too.One thing worth noting is that the base of the bag is prone to wear if you are carrying heavy items (such as tools) causing the bag to scrape and wear under repeated use (since 2015 to 2019 that is) this might result in a hole being worn unless care is taken.

This doesn't pass the squeeze test. Unlike the usual tube style roll top waterproof bags (not immersion proof) this one lets air out rather quickly, and therefore presumably water in. I think it is a combination of the length of the opening and the fact that you cannot roll the top more than the set number of turns due to the velcro fastener. Product sent back. For this type of waterproof duffle bag I would recommend Watershed but they are a lot more expensive.NB: I have other roll-top waterproof bags from Overboard and they are excellent so don't let this review put you off their other products.

Good enough! It does float
Good enough! It does float! Unfortunately the carribeaner that came with it is really cheap and it broke in my 1st use. I used it to attach the bag to my SUP board whilst I was paddling in a lake, the bag had around 10kg of weight, the bag came lose when the beaner broke; luckily I noticed quickly, the bag was floating away but as I said, luckily it floats. It's not advisable or good for the brand to use such inferior and cheap goods with an otherwise good quality bag, it just diminishes the perceived value of the overboard brand.

Disappointed to say the least.
Absolute waste of money, glue for the internal pockets came away immediately but I made do now unfortunately after just over 2 months and no serious use it’s in tatters. The internal pocket has come completely away taking the material with it meaning it’s no longer water right and full of holes Very disappointed!

It looks amazing though and i as long as you don't use ...
I took this on a 2 week holiday to Nepal on the back of a motorcycle. It peformed superb but the material is a little thin and doesn't withstand rubbing as much (i.e. bungee straps) as other waterproof bags of the same price category that are designed for motorbikes. It looks amazing though and i as long as you don't use it for motorcycling, i would recommend it. If you are using it for motorcycling, i would choose a specific motorcycle brand i.e. Oxford Aqua range.

Tal cual lo esperaba
Hace unos meses compré una bolsita impermeable para un saco de dormir pensando en un viaje en moto, pero no tiene ni asas, ni arandelas para atarlo bien a ningún sitio y al ver esta bolsa impermeable decidí probar. A primera vista la calidad y los acabados son brutales. Dudo mucho que tenga nada malo que decir cuando lo pruebe. Es GRANDE, muy GRANDE el tamaño de la de 60L. Cabe el saco de dormir, (uno grande, no tipo momia) y la esterilla hinchable y aún podré meter ropa y alguna que otra cosa más. Es cara sí, pero la calidad es lo que tiene ... RECOMENDABLE 100%

Praktisch und bisher wasserdicht bei Regen
Die Tasche habe ich in 40-Liter-Volumen für meinen Freund als Geschenk gekauft. Die Tasche muss Regenschauer überstehen, was sie bisher problemlos tut. Die Verarbeitung sieht ordentlich aus und das Volumen ist mit 40 Litern groß genug, für Wechselklamotten, Duschzeug und so weiter beim Sport.Allerdings ist sie nicht "mal eben" geöffnet, weil man halt den gut haltenden Klettverschluss über die gesamte Taschenbreite öffnen und dann noch den oberen Teil entrollen muss. Es gibt aber vorne noch eine kleine Tasche mit Reißverschluss, auf die man schneller zugreifen kann.

Die Produkte, die ich mir angesehen habe, hatten zumeist meine Anforderungen (wasserdicht) nicht entsprochen. Die Artikel wurde trotzdem als wasserdicht angepriesen. Im Fall Overboard handelt es sich um ein Produkt das wasssrdicht ist und erst noch das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis stimmt. Bin sehr zufrieden auch mit Grösse und Qualität.

seriously disappointed at the build quality
seriously disappointed at the build quality. I have an OverBoard backpack from several years ago that is solid but this duffel bag is crap in comparison. The material that the bag is made out of is fantastic but right out of the box the stitching that holds the straps on is coming apart. I do not see this bag lasting very long... I want to return it but the cost is half of what I paid for the damn thing....

Not recommended. Product fails after minimal use
Unique closure system and waterproof were what sold me. And the videos are fairly compelling.However, after less than one year of use, I discovered the through and through holes in my bag you see in the attached pics. ( I purchased this 130l on 3 February 18)And let me be clear, I did not drag this duffel across rocky terrain or the Sahara on a camel.The application implied by the manufacturer for this bag is travel, therefore you could reasonably assume it would withstand light abuse associated with non expedition travel. ie airline handlingIt did NOT.In addition, OVERBOARD isn’t standing behind their product.This product failure is actually an opportunity for OVERBOARD to gather data to improve their product when you think about it. They declined.I am disappointed. They said I could fix it myself

Used once on our annual trail ride camping trip and put all our bedding in it. I love how big and roomie it is yet easy to pack around
