I would recommend the CS540 or CS545-XD instead
We've been using the Plantronics CS540 headsets in our office for a while, and they are excellent headsets in just about every way.About 3 months ago, we needed one more headset - and I noticed this new CS540-XD version, so I figured we might as well get the newer version since the price was pretty close. On top of that, we are starting to get a lot of headsets in a small space, and we spend a lot of time on the phone, so these seemed perfect since they're specifically marketed as being made for high-density wireless areas.Although this headset is very nice, it isn't living up to the performance of the original CS540 for a couple of reasons:1) The battery life of the CS540-XD is significantly less than the CS540. I could go all day on the CS540 with no issues at all - but the CS540-XD runs out of batteries every afternoon without fail.2) The CS540-XD tends to lose connection more often. I don't remember ever losing a connection on the CS540, but it's happened to me a couple of times with the CS540-XD. With as much time as I spend on the phone, combined with the fact that I tend to pace all over the building, it isn't surprising that the headset would drop a connection every few weeks; but, once again, it never happened with the CS540 over a couple of years (at least that I can remember). There is another version of this headset that includes a spare battery - and that's the Plantronics CS545-XD . Other than the spare battery, it's exactly the same as this unit; but, that extra battery completely solves problem #1.As a result, I would recommend going with the CS545-XD if you decide you want a high-density headset. If, on the other hand, you don't need the high-density headset - you'll probably be happier with the less-expensive CS540.Having said all that, I did just have to buy 2 more headsets - and I went with the CS545-XD. We have a lot of these headsets in a small space, and I suspect the non-XD versions will probably start having problems eventually.

Worked for a year / spent the last two years trying to get it to work again
Worked great until it didn't. The phone number is not helpful for troubleshooting.

Great quality sound. Small and the range was super far! Went two floors up and still used it
