The PPP is a quality writing tool and a very versatile quill for artistic expression. The edges of lines made with the PPP are razor sharp. The color mixing opportunities abound and working color gradients into a workpiece is both fun and rewarding.I only have one gripe and it's a problem I can probably solve.... The color ink cartridges only seem to come in the assortment of colors, one of which is black.... The violet looks black and the indigo looks black. The three most useful colors for color mixing are red, blue, and yellow.... Yet you cannot find anywhere just a box of each primary color... I've had some luck using a syringe to refill the empty cartridge with ph. Martin's colored India inks but the cartridge seals aren't meant to be used this way and can sometimes leak all over the place so YMMV and bring a towel !!

Got on of these pens for my fiance.She liked em pretty good so I bought the box. It's a good value for the money and the pens seem to be quality.If you are interested in parallel pens give them a try.

Love these pens, Cartridge ink makes for smoother writing. Great for beginners. Also the 6.0 is very large to practice letting so you can see where you need to improve your stokes. I lost my 1st set and have missed them greatly.

The delivery was supposed to take a week but it came in 2 days. It comes with everything that’s listed and it works great! I’m new to this writing form so I would suggest getting this for beginners. It comes with a booklet that tells you how and what you could do with the pens. I wish that it came with more practice books especially since I spent 30 dollars on it. To make it worth more.

The way these pens do gradients is very inventive. Like most pens from Pilot, these are well designed. But what really gets the five stars is the FUN! Buying the set is a great bargain over individual purchases. This is an inexpensive way to determine whether you have an interest in Calligraphy or just "lettering."There is a negative that I did not take a star off for: the Pilot ink included, while having great colors, is very wet. I will be buying four Pilot Con-50 Converters so I can use a less wet ink. Make sure you buy Con-50 types as the more common Con-40 will not seal and you'll have ink all over. Also, if you're unsure about these pens, look up some of the videos on YouTube to see how awesome they are.
