Royal Cozy Fire RCF4 Electric Fire, Brass

I recently bought this fire and am really impressed by it, it looks good, much more cozy than my previous one, its also quieter. Easy to install, basically just plug it in.My only grievance is the brass trim surround, it is very flimsy and quiet sharp. I did cut my fingers twice while trying to fix it in place. But having said that when fixed it does look good.Certainly a good buy for not a lot of money. I love it

Good fire very easy to install the only problem is that the brass surround could be doing with fixing better the magnets keep moving

This fire was bought for an elderly aunt, who loves it! It is aesthetically pleasing, and gives off a great heat. She does not have great mobility, and likes the fact that she can control the heat from her chair, via the remote control! And what a brilliant price too!

Spoilt by very poor coal effect, but flame effect fine. Looks great otherwise. Edward.

I though this item was free standing but in with the instructsions was a addendum sheet to say I need a spacer frame with this fire and giving a tel number 1422 203963 plus the item part number 0104 075 33464.I was unable to contact this number so i called you and was given another number which again unattainable. I then rang the after service company and obtain another tel number 0854 557 5575 and agirl gave me a ref PNE 4335500 and told me someone from the spares dept would ring in the next few days and I am still waiting.So I have tried to ring this number again without any joy.So please can you help me ray humphreys

These fires look nice and the remote control was a massive influence in my choice. I have 2 of these and on one the ribbon fire effect keeps sticking so it looks awful and very unrealistic, the second has a horrible noise kick in after 20 minutes. The remote control features have clearly been stepped down as some of the buttons are pretty much redundant on it (you can't fully turn it off, only to the flame effect).

very good build quality, with an excellent finish, maybe the led effect flame could be brighter, but that would be splitting hairs. Like the brass trim around the edge of the fire idea of it being held on with magnets rather than clips.If you need to move the fire, all the trims are removable, so not to be damaged. Was purchased for my mother, so the remote control is very handy, especially for arthritis and elderly consumers.

The description gave the impression that it was fully remote control. It is not. The flame effect is switched on the fire not the remote.The flame effect motor is noisy.BUT for the price it is good value.
