Caffe Roma Royale Coffee Beans (1kg)

Some coffee beans are too strong for me so this is actually deliciousHighly recommend

I have tried numerous coffee beans over the past year since purchasing my bean to cup machine (DeLonghi Esam 4200S) but have settled on these as my favourite.I have tried the big brands and generally find them OK but the coffee didn't have enough depth of flavour or strength. I was also finding that by the end of the bag I could hardly taste the coffee. Maybe I was getting used to the coffee or finding it bland once I got used to it.I find that Caffe Roma Royale gives a consistent, strong and flavoursome cup of coffee and am now on my 5th repeat order. I have also tried the Caffe Roma Italia beans but don't find them as good as these.Full marks also to Amazon / Next Day Coffee company for their fast service.

The only reason why I have not given this five stars is that I think the P&P terms are excessive. These add 50% to the cost of purchase, which seems crazy.That consideration apart, this is a reasonably-priced, good-quality blend. The beans grind nicely, keep fresh and produce expresso with a good crema and aroma. Not too bitter - I bought some Whittards Italian Expresso beans recently, and the flavour there is entirely described by the word 'acrid'. Much better balance and depth - good general drinking coffee.

Very nice coffee for an actual coffee machine that uses pressure, not too strong not too weak, would say it is similar to the coffee Greggs uses.

Good value for money but taste average,have had much better.

It's got very nice flavour but unfortunately its not for my pallet.After 1 week of using coffee beans I love it even my pallet agrees.

Rich and dark roasted, lovely strong flavour, dark chocolate notes

Amazingly, this blend works well in all my machines: espresso, filter and cafetiere. This is an unprecedented virtue. It makes a first class espresso and very good cappucino. Although I have tried all the Caffe Roma blends, this is the favourite and since it is so versatile I shall buy it exclusively in future.
