I’ve been looking for a handle lock like this, and I have a lot of Eufy products that I think work very well. I was looking to replace the Schlage combination handles I’ve had for so long that worked so well, but all of my kids friends know the codes to get into my house. Not that they would use them, but if they shared them, I didn’t feel comfortable and it wasn’t easy to change codes every time that I felt compromised.I was looking for a new handle combination that included fingerprint recognition, and quick code changing options along with temporary codes that would work only once or within a certain time frame and this lock clicked all of the boxes. I have an older home and a dead lock wouldn’t work because the door jams are warped and didn’t always line up correctly for unobstructed engagement unless the door was shut with the same force every time.Anyways, my first concern was with the lack of instructions for door assembly, it took a while for me to look at everything that was delivered for installation and figure out what was needed and what was extra. It’s not hard to install, but they sent extra screws and in my past if you have extra, you missed something.After installation, the app recognized the lock and began showing me the installation process, which I had already completed. You can choose a long code or a short code to unlock the door, 1 digit up to I think 10. Programming the fingerprint is a lot like the old fingerprint programming for iPhones, about 8 different scans, at different angles. New users are easy to set up, and code changes are easy.I’ve used this lock for about a week, fingerprint recognition was a little weak in the beginning but the last three days has been perfect. It learned. It also shows a log of who came in, if they used their code or by fingerprint.My only complaint is there isn’t a way to unlock it for an extended period of time, like if you have guests over for parties or something like that where guests wouldn’t be normally granted access to your home. You can delay the lock, but you can’t unlock it until relock it manually.Eufy, please add this option in future software releases as an option to unlock it, even if it’s for a specific time period.Otherwise, for people in my immediate family, we really like the finger print access this grants, it’s quicker than a code. One note, keep your fingers dry, it doesn’t like wet fingers.

Great value, I bought used like new, and no issues. Opens quick and can be controlled by app. Fingerprint reader is top notch and doesn’t give false reads. Easy to install, just follow the instructions. Looks sleek and keeps my closet secure

The fingerprint sensor is located on the handle, which is a decent and commonly seen design for fingerprint handle locks. However, Eufy's fingerprint module is positioned very deep, rather than being slightly raised. This forces me to press my finger quite hard every time to get it recognized. In daily use, more than half of the time, it fails to recognize my fingerprint on the first attempt, requiring multiple hard presses to succeed. This is a very poor design.Alright, I decided to register fingerprints of my fingertips, thinking it might make recognition easier. But here's the deal-breaker: this product is always offline. When the Wi-Fi is offline, I can't even add new fingerprints. I have three Deco mesh routers at home and many smart home devices and cameras connected to my Wi-Fi network, all of which are very stable. Yet, Eufy's smart lock frequently disconnects. I can't tolerate this and have already initiated the return process. I will never buy a Eufy smart lock again.

I have been searching for Wi-Fi smart locks that provide a variety of features, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. I can confidently say that Eufy is the solution I was looking for. I have purchased six different locks and cameras for my non-profit property, and they are amazing. They are durable, packed with features, and offer unparalleled convenience and safety compared to other locking systems. Don't waste your time looking at anything else. You have found the best!

These work great! Being a machinist and mechanic I was impressed with the quality of the inner workings. Especially for the price. Installation was fairly straight forward. If you have ever replaced a lockset it will be easy. If not, watch some youtube videos. Installation is well within the means of the average or aspiring DIYer. The app is great with plenty of useful features and provides quick phone notification any time the door is locked or unlocked. I would have give 5 stars if not for 1 issue. Once temperature drops to 0 degrees F, the lock no longer functions. It will read and accept your fingerprint or pass code, but the mechanical mechanism does not unlock the door. The manual key still works fine so I would suggest having the key hidden outside somewhere as a backup. Also...the batteries were not 100% new when this was noted, but still showed 90% capacity when tested. I believe it is just a function of the product. I have two of them and the impact of the cold weather was the same for both. Once temperature rose above 5 degrees they both functioned properly.

Initially it took me some time to figure out the installtion as I didn't realize the pin cable actually could fully click in. After the pin cable connected properly, all the functions work pretty well so far. The battery symbol still shows full after 3 weeks use.

Nothing but problems. Install was easy enough, then came configuration issues. Couldn’t connect to the lock via the app, and a few factory resets later, I could no longer pair via Bluetooth or wireless. A new router, Eufy firmware update, and 24 AA batteries later this lock is connected but battery life is lackluster. I’m getting 6 days of battery life on a door that has been opened ~ 5 times per week. This model is junk. Do yourself a favor and skip this one.
