As a keen observer, Dr. Balu finds PM Modi’s persuasive communication to all levels of Indian society and the world significantly captivating, a derivative of visionary leadership qualities. Dr. Balu eludes PM Modi's listening capacities with more profound, thoughtful responses on any given issue and seeks and provides outside-the-box solutions with a fundamental interest in benefiting all sections of communities at large. This aspect can be seen when PM Modi applies to a chaotic, conflict-ridden world for peaceful coexistence through foreign policy initiatives. His leadership is not exclusive, but inclusive, considering the needs and aspirations of all sections of the society. Through commitment, persistence, and unwavering decisions over a decade at the helm and continuing his third term, PM Modi has instilled confidence and pride amongst the people with a positive outlook and encouraged them to achieve higher aspirations in individual and collective goals in all walks of life in Indian society, which has been the hallmark of his legacy in leading the world’s most populous nation. A refreshing and important contribution to leadership practice and research
This book presents an Indic perspective on the practice of public leadership, with India’s prime minister as the protagonist. The book provides a refreshing perspective grounded in the Indic philosophical texts such as the Gita, Upanishads, Panchatantra, etc., to bring to life the leadership approach that the world needs. Standing on the key tenets of ‘Seva’ (service), and ‘Tyaga’ (renounciation), the book presents how leadership, when exercised, can help mobilize billions to people to raise their aspiration for better governance while simultaneously ensuring their participation. On one hand, the book contends with Western leadership practices from the works of Warren Bennis, Peter Senge, Nitin Nohria, and Ronald Heifetz, and presents key corollaries and propositions emerging from Dr. Balu’s extensive research and observations of Prime Minister Modi exercising leadership grounded in Indic philosophies. Several thought business leaders and thinkers including Bill Gates, and Dr. Nitin Nohria have lauded the contributions of this book towards the theory and practice of leadership. This book, already a best seller in India, is a must read for leadership coaches, practitioners, and academics alike.

An eye opening contrast between Indic and western leadership, must read!!
Excellent book by Dr.Balu, shows how Indic way of life driven by service and spirituality can bring about such leadership which is inspirational as well as torch bearing to the entire world. Learnings from Prime minister Modi’s life and style of leadership goes to show, that keen observation and personal experiences become greater lessons than education alone for a great leader. Only the ‘Seva’ attitude could inspire one to reach down further to the society for a first hand feedback as they climb higher up in the ladder of responsibility. Undoubtedly, Modi’s life of devotion and selflessness, lead by a purpose of service, has set such an example of a leader, comparable to the ones mentioned in ancient Indian epics. Aptly titled ‘Power within’, this book is not only for aspiring leaders but to all who want to explore an innate power that lies within.

Excellent analysis
This book will and should be an inspiration to all future political leaders. The analysis, though based on Modi, can easily be extended to other world leaders. Will be helpful to any young person wanting to enter politics for the right reason. The author has clearly demonstrated that harnessing and using one's potential is true leadership.Found the book inspiring as it reinforces (and perhaps restores), India's cultural pride. There are excellent examples of DHARMA based leadership. The author's personal leadership also come out through the book.

Captivating and thought-provoking take on Leadership
In Power Within: The Leadership Legacy of Narendra Modi, Dr. Balu skillfully weaves together personal anecdotes, historical context, and philosophical and spiritual insights to present a multifaceted portrait of prime minister Modi's leadership through an Indic lens. One of the book's strengths is its exploration of the Vedantic concepts that have influenced Modi's worldview. While Western thought often emphasizes innate traits and qualities, Indian leadership is more about practice and exercise. Balu sir delves into how prime minister Modi's leadership style reflects this Indian perspective, emphasizing his relentless hard work, communicative approach, and constant quest for self-discovery.Book discusses the vedantic concept of witness consciousness, the role of yoga in cultivating mental and emotional balance, and the significance of seva (service) in fulfilling one's dharma (duty). It also talks about Modi's leadership journey characterized by his commitment to tapasya (self-discipline) and yajna (sacrifice). These concepts, rooted in Indic philosophy, emphasize the importance of personal discipline, selfless service, and the pursuit of a higher purpose. This adds a rich layer of complexity to the book and offers valuable insights for those interested in the intersection of leadership, spirituality and politics. While some readers may have differing opinions on prime minister Modi's policies and governance, Power Within offers a balanced and informative account of his leadership journey. It's a must-read for anyone interested in understanding the Indic concepts of leadership and how it can be the solution to the complexities of a world Brittle, Anxious, Non-Linear and Incomprehensible(BANI).

Leadership legacy through an Indic wisdom lens - A must read!
A lot has been spoken about PM Modi - mostly extreme views about his life and work. Very rarely have we come across a book on his style of work, his exercise of leadership all through his life. Dr R Balu's book is an analysis on the same. For me, this insightful and deeply thought-provoking work has been a super-abridged introduction to Indic wisdom and also a path to realization that the journey is long and arduous. The structured presentation gives a reassuring feeling that we have exemplars around us to learn from and aim to emulate. We often quote Swami Vivekananda's letter to the Maharaja of Mysore - "They alone live who live for others, the rest are more dead than alive." This book is a must read to meet two people who are alive and living their life - PM Modi, and Dr RB (it takes someone like him to spot and narrate these leadership lessons).

Inspiring to follow the example
From Narayanaswamy G IRS (Rtd) BengaluruI found “Power Within: Leadership of Narendra Modi” to be a fascinating read. It is not only taking us through the concepts of Indic and Western leadership styles but with a great example of Narendra Modi, inspires us to adopt these styles in our own lives. Several times I see myself instead of Modi ji !! It clearly shows the style enumerated with authentic research is well within our culture. Our growth is proportionately linked to how much and how consistently we follow these styles. This is truly inspiring to follow the example of the leadership without being intimidated by seeing the where Narendra Modi has reached through his Enlightened Leadership. Dr Balu has brought out the example in a lucid but simple manner for us to read and strengthen our own areas of weakness to align with the stars set in here. I recommend even one, not just the executives and politicians to read it and imbibe the principles.
