Most opal hamsa necklaces start with the same basic pendant and use a cheap chain. I have tried to make mine unique. Firstly, I have managed to obtain some top quality synthetic opal in different colours. In addition to the white, there's also pretty shades purple and pink. I'm excited to have found the most gorgeous fine sterling silver snake chain - it's deliciously slinky and tactile! The hole in the hamsa is tiny, just 1.1mm in diameter - obviously the chain has to be smaller than this in order to wriggle through it. Most chains as fine as this will be pretty weak - the snake chain is stronger because of all the interlocking parts. It's finished off with a top quality lobster clasp to fasten it. To make the necklace a little more distinctive and to set off the pendant I added little silver beads either side. (If you would prefer it without, that's not a problem because these are made to order - just drop me a line after purchase.) Please note that as with all the similar hamsa pendants, it's a synthetic opal and very dainty, just 11 x 13mm.
