Fantastic but expensive
Fantastic book (so far at least), goes perfectly with iTunes U course 'Programming Methodology'. Expensive though :(

Great Book for Self Learning
I read the book and completed all the exercises at the end of each chapter, and O think I really learned a lot in a short amount of time. This is because the book is well written and the exercises make you think hard about what you learned in the chapter. I recommend it if you have the discipline to work through all the exercises.

If you're new to programing, this is a great introduction
I started programing lectures via itunes U at Stanford cs106A, and this is the reference textbook they recommend. Really well done !

Needs Improvement
The index, and a technical book's index is one of the most important features, is about the worst I've every seen in any programming language book.
