I have a pinched nerve and have been going to a chiropractor for the first time. One of the things he asked about was my pillow, which was awful.He then recommended I buy a cooling gel memory foam pillow which would support my neck and it costs about $50. I looked it up and there's no way I'm breathing chemicals from the Chinese made memory foam product for 8 hours a night.Years ago I bought a toxic, chemical filled mattress that was made in China that made us all feel ill from the noxious smell. I had to return it because it was so bad. I learned that formaldehyde and other chemicals are allowed in Chinese memory foam products, but are not in US made.So I did my research and discovered Technogel pillows which are made in Italy. I'm happy to pay 3x the price for a quality Italian made product. I LOVE this pillow! Even after just the first night, it made a difference. It supports my head and neck like no other pillow I've used. It has a cooling side which is good for my pinched nerve in my neck and if I don't want the cool gel, I can turn it over and use the other side. I purchased the medium pillow which is perfect for me, but there are two other sizes available.Best of all, unlike reviews on the other $50 pillow complaining about a chemical odor, there is NO ODOR emanating from this pillow, whatsoever.It also comes with a soft, washable pillowcase. I just LOVE this pillow.Highly recommended, especially for anyone with head, neck or spine issues.A+

My previous pillow was wool pillow and it gets warm at night I would often flip the pillow over to cool down. this is my second pillow i bought from this brand. they are expensive compared to all the other choices. However, I prefer some thing non toxic and cooling is the selling point for me. My first pillow from this band was the contour type where the center is like a valley for back sleeping and the sides are an inch higher for sleeping on the sides. However, no one sleeps without moving their head at night. So for me I felt the pillow was too high at the 4.5 in the center and 5.5 inch on the side. When i rolled to the side since it is too soft it didnt give me enough support to keep my shoulder from collapsing and in the center at 4.5 inch was too high for my neck. So here I am buying their thinnest pillow at 3.5 inches flat no contour "ANATOMIC" design. And I love it! I feel my neck is more comfortable so I can breath better. So it is soft but not too soft, so when I actually put my head down it does get lower than the 3.5 inch. This is great for back sleeper, if you are a side sleeper than the ANATOMIC pillow would be what you want instead of this.

I purely love this pillow, responsible, I believe, for nights and nights of deep sleep. And yet I've given it four stars. When I got it, the outer cover reeked of fire retardant. I tried washing it, I tried airing it in the sun, I tried washing it again to no avail. I could still detect the scent. While I was waiting for the cover to smell better, I used the pillow without it. I slept better than I had in a long time. So I ditched the cover and was extremely happy with the pillow all by itself. You might be too. It's softer than it is without the cover, but that seems to work.

The pillow is not as cool as I expected it to be. And thinner than I expected it to be. I ordered the 4 inch. on the plus side. My head just melts in it like it’s the softest pillow ever. Yet still firm enough to support my head. I’ve tried a lot of micro fiber pillows which are very hard. This one has no Oder and for not being as cool as some of my other pillows I’ve had. This one has the best ventilation I’ve ever seen. Cause for it not feeling to cool my head stays cool all night. And I’m a very hot sleeper. I sleep with 3 fans on me all the time. And still end up getting my head sweats every night. But, with this pillow it all went away. I couldn’t be more happier with pillow. If for some reason it ever goes bad which I don’t think it ever will. But, if it does I’m getting it again. But, a 5 inch the next time. I’m a side and belly sleeper and it’s perfect for me. I’m only 5 foot 7 inches and weigh 200 lbs. I hope this review helps. I read the reviews first also before I purchased. Cause the price is a bit high. But, worth every penny to me anyway.

I've had a technogel pillow for years. First one I bought was 2016. Decided time for new one. The new one is not very cooling. Not sure if anything to do to improve it. I took it out of the protector and using regular pillowcase. Disappointed as the first one was awesome and worth the cost. The new ones are not worth $200. The foam pillow is still good as far as support/comfort but I bought it for the cooling part!

I had the original version of this pillow in 2012 and it was amazing but it didnt last that long. It did state to not have another pillow on top of it as the friction would wear it down much faster, that was my mistake. I never wanted to spend the money again thinking it would only last a few months maybe a year. I have been chasing the pillow dream ever since and the only thing that came close to waking up pain free was the original purple pillow. That is a good option except its heavy and if you like to sleep with an arm under your pillow it won't really work with it. So now I get the technogel pillow once again and the first night of sleep was amazing! I didn't wake up all night tossing and turning and adjusting my pillow. I slept like a baby and woke up with no pain in my neck. Only time will tell how long this one will last as it does seem updated over the original one (has holes in the memory foam part for air flow). Honestly if this pillow only lasts a year I'll keep buying them as nothing compares. Pain free, great sleep for the cost of 1 nice dinner for two at a decent restaurant, I'm sold.

I had one of these years ago and when it finally died I could not find a replacement. I have 2 level cervical fusion and my neck needs pretty firm support, without being too hard. I measured my shoulder space to find the height I needed. The gel side will be nice in the summer. This pillow won't be for everyone, but will be the needle in the haystack some are looking for.
