I used to make my own but not with all the oils in this, but this is very reasonable and costs less than buying the oils separately. I knew my mix worked, which had peppermint and pine in, so brought 2 of these after spending my birthday money on new plants and minature trees. I have a 3 pronged attack in my garden, magic mulch, pine needles sprinkled on the mulch and regular use of this around the pots as most of my plants are in containers, the only one that reduced the slug and snail population in my garden by 90%, you have to be persistent after rain when it is dry go and re apply to plant pots, or the plants themselves or both depending if sunny just do around the base of pots, some of mine are on shingles so i spray around the pots too. I go out at the start of rain and gather up emerging snails and throw them to a wasteland area near me. After rain i go out and check all the plant container rims and remove any remaining snails which was only about 5 found a couple of days ago, and 3 today, these are relocated, the magic mulch, pine needles, and rosemary cuttings i forgot to add seem to reduce by 10%, so this spray is a godsend for the organic gardener, i just have a terrace garden so not a large space to manage, i use it on my container plants out front area that has small space for wheelie bins and some plants. Thank you for creating this wonder spray, it is truly cost effective as my spray bottle takes 600mls i put 75 drops, I also spray around my lean too door way, and along window frames as my glass has been removed from my lean too, to prevent entry and even after rain only find a couple of snails in there, on days of rain expected for a day or more i use nature friendly slug pellets. I only remove snails in my garden because i cannot bare to touch slugs. I use one spray bottle per prevention session of spraying, but if you have a larger area, may need to use more, overall i would recommend this wholeheartedly and I will be a customer for life!

Smell is strong ( don’t use indoors ) in green house it worked a little but out doors didn’t really see effect but could smell this rather than flowers … had high hopes but not for my slugs they quickly learned to ignore it

Tried a lot Indoor slug repellent sprays with no success. This one has seemed to work. I sprayed some last night around all doors and didn’t see no trails this morning for first time in months. So looks like it has worked. Or it’s just slugs are having a day off. Don’t know yet.

I purchased this product as I wanted a non - toxic method of keeping snails and slugs away. I understand that there are other products on the market but although I don't like snails and slugs I wanted to use a humane way of keeping them away, hence buying this product.Having followed the instructions carefully I prepared 1 litre of the product and sprayed it over an area covering no more than 2 metres x 1 metre. I completely saturated the area, pretty much emptying the spray container. The following day I didn't see any snails or slugs in the area so I thought that it had worked however a mere 48 hours later, they are now back as previously. So - either this product just doesn't work, or it works only against snails and / or slugs that have a lack of determination to be where they are not wanted. Either way, I'm now going to have to look at buying another product.

This product really helps us control the slugs. The smell is strong and kind of garlicky. Don't expect to apply and forget it. We apply it every 3 or 4 days when we can't smell it any more.Without it we remove 20 - 30 slugs an evening with it 3 - 5.
