I thought this was the answer to my problems for carrying food. I was under the impression this would keep hot things hit and cold things cold. False. It’s one or the other and neither last all that long.So you definitely can’t put hot and cold items in at the same time. Kind of makes sense, I guess, just disappointing.Putting hot things in, like fresh out of the oven hot, they only stayed warm for a couple hours. About 4 hours later it was nearly room temperature and I’d guess not safe to eat. When I tried again and out hot water in 2 containers and food in one, it lasted much longer. However, I didn’t get this to only be able to use one section.Cold water lasted about hours, but it was only cool, not cold. This would work for fruit or something like that. Not sure if I’d do yogurt or anything like that.Overall, it’s only a good solution to buy you a couple hours. Not all day, as I was hoping.I’m still using this for picnic style things where I basically just have to transport food, so it’s not a total bust and I actually really like it for that purpose.The canister is good quality. The containers fit perfectly inside. ITs super convenient to fit that much in such a consolidated container.

This is some thing you would use if you needed to keep your whole meal hot if it was soup or maybe rice or something like that I will say it’s absolutely absolutely huge and seems a little excessive. However, if you were going to a job site, I think it would be just the ticket, if you’re bringing into an office, it feels a little silly to carry around.

i like the container but the only problem thing is the underneath of the lip is rough w/ ‘sharp’ edges that could potentially hurt you if you’re not careful. they need tp smoothen the lid’s edges.

For me, there are two important guidelines when offering a food product to the public. The first is to present an accurate description. The dimensional pics and the written description match and show one large inner container and two additional smaller containers of the same size. However, the first picture in the description shows 3 containers of increasing size. I received two inner bowls of smaller size; what container has three inner bowls of increasing size?The second guideline is to provide a CLEAN food product. I received inner containers with dust all over the outside, and a fair amount of actual dirt on the inside. Maybe it's just me but whenever I receive something, it really puts a damper on the unboxing to find it dirty. Fortunately, I did not find any scratches or signs of previous use. This container may hold and provide an adequate temperature for meals, but my belief in this thermos was diminished by the presentation.

I normally use soft sided lunchboxes to bring food to the office or for roadtrips. Those certainly work well enough, but most of my containers are round and uninsulated. There’s some wasted space, and items I really don’t want getting warm do get warm due to the hot soups I put into the lunchbox.This large cylindrical thermos bottle perfectly holds three insulated food containers. There’s no extra wasted space, meaning I’m carrying less volume around. The screw on lids haven’t leaked, although I rarely tip it over. Large base, carry strap. It stays vertical on the carseat on the commute to work and while I’m carrying it. Containers are easy enough to grasp to lift out of the thermos.Haven’t verified that it will keep food warm for 12 hours, but it certainly has kept food warm for much of the day. Bring it to the office in the morning and still have hot soup late in the afternoon. Haven’t tried anything that needs to stay cold, but I’m sure it’ll keep food cold as well. Also haven’t used it as an ice bucket, but I’m sure it’ll work well for that, although it wouldn’t be a huge ice bucket. Good for keeping ice cubes or for chilling a bottle of champagne, not really large enough for many bottles of beer.Only minor issue might be that the three stainless steel inserts slip out of their plastic containers. This just means that there are three extra pieces that need to be cleaned at the end of the day. Takes up most of the space in the drying rack when everything is laid out.I can wholeheartedly recommend this three layer stainless steel thermos.

This is your basic thermos, but with little containers inside. I would like to see this have a handle for carrying, Which it does not. It’s a little pricey I wouldn’t pay as much as they’re asking for this.
