Homemedde91 Natural Indian Red Clay crumbly Powder
I'm reviewing Homemedde91 Natural Indian Red Clay crumbly Powder. I add clay to my homemade soaps so I got this to add to my soap making collection. As described, this clay is crumbly so not ground to a fine powder. That part is all good. The clay comes in sealed plastic bag, which, once opened I need to find another thing to store in. There is no other information provided, so we won't know where this came from, what it's made of, so for someone using clay for the first time won't know how to get started. I would love to get more background information on the description page transferred onto the packaging.

What's it's sources?
I'm wary that it says edible but gives no credible sources, doesn't say what foundation they tested it through. Didn't even come in a jar or air sealed container. Came in a taped up plastic bag.now I'm OK that came in chunks and powders it took awhile to grind down but was ok and didn't take too long. While no mixing instructions came with it. Does work well when mixed with water, oil, or a tallow like substance. As a mask worked fairly well for oilyness. A pretty ok value for how much you get but as I'm not entirely sure of how much actually should be used I'm not 100%.

I use it on face and underarms
In the title it says "edible clay." In the description I read it says "cosmetic grade." So I wouldn't try to eat this. I only use this as a face mask to soften skin and armpit mask to detox underarms. Works great for that. The clay is a dark brown reddish color. It came sealed in a plastic bag. There is a mix of small rock clay pieces and ground clay. Not sure of the origin of the clay but on the product page, it claims it is 100% organic. Nothing written like that on the packaging.

Questionable origin
I’m not allowed fully comment on the presentation of this product, but needless to say I’m not comfortable using a package of barely labeled mystery product without knowing more about what it is and where it came from. Is it edible or cosmetic use? The listing isn’t sure and the package doesn’t say. Where is it from? Does it have anything g added to it? Mystery product, doesn’t feel like a good idea to put on or in my body.

Exactly what it says
You get a good amount of clay and you can add water and put it on your face. This is the perfect thing for do it yourselfers in creating their favorite products.

Directions and other info would be helpful.
7 oz of dried red Indian clay. It's crumbled; some small chunks, some powder. I mill it to a more consistent texture with a mortar and pestle. I've used natural clays before; am familiar with how to prepare them as face and body masks and the benefits to skin (helps draw out impurities, tightens pores, etc). However, this clay comes in a plastic sack that's taped closed, doesn't contain or protect it well -- and no directions of any kind. I transferred the clay to a jar with an airtight lid. Also no clear listing of ingredients, no manufacturer or distributer info, which I expect even if it's just clay. It's described online as edible; if so, that certainly should be clarified. I find it works well for skin masks, but feel it should arrive better packaged and with directions.
