Great knife
WOW, so sharp that makes the work fun. I just hope the sharpness will last as the manufacturer description.

A kitchen knife that doubles is a work of art
Does the job. Anyone using this type of knife should be aware of the pros and cons of ceramic vs. metal. If there is one time you should follow manufacturers' instructions, this is it. Superior to steel in a number of ways, but they do have their limitations. Know them. Definitely stronger structurally than the lower grade ceramics I've bought. Mine was certainly sharp at the edge. I have a feeling that if anyone complains about sharpness, it's that this knife is not as thin (and fragile) as some of the lower grade knives and might take a bit more pressure to be applied on cuts because of its overall thickness. I'll trade that easily for the knife being less fragile. Although I cook a lot but certainly am no chef, I find personally that serrated edges on knives are a bit of a gimmick that don't do much to enhance a cut whether on meat or bread, but larger deeper serrations you find on a dedicated bread knife are more desirable for that exact application. Although I have used them, again, in my experience, small serrations have a tendency to tear and collect debris on the knife during the cut which affects the smoothness and cleanness of the cut, while reducing the ease of a knife to make a cut, whether steel or ceramic. My suspicion for the popularity of serrations is from customers seeing this type of knife in certain steak houses, but there is a fear there that customers will accidentally cut themselves with razor sharp knives, so these serrated ones are used as a compromise to saw through the steaks. On any given day, a good sharp meat/vegetable knife is superior to anything serrated with some limited exceptions. Here, This knife is worth the price, especially when compared to the horrendous costs of a competing manufacturer. This paired with the Kikusumi 3 piece is in my stable for the ceramics which is all I need (no one is allowed to touch those except me) with some metal for the other cuts not indicated for ceramics.

Recommend this knife to everyone
Very happy with this knife. Showed up today (19th) and the tracking said around the 30th. Loved the way they packed it for shipping. The knife was so well protected it took 15 minutes to unpack it. Immediately tried it out on a roll of baloney. Deadly sharp, light, and great balance as well as beautiful. A great addition to a kitchen.
