Gel balls get jammed
Nice looking but the gel balls get jammed immediately making the guns useless.

Way too much fun! Great sound, range and Safety Glasses a MUST
The media could not be loaded. Let's start with the 2 cons I found, although one is a nitpick.Build quality: The adaptor that slides onto the gun to hold the ammo 'grenade' on 1 of the guns needed a drop of glue as it was coming apart at the seams.Ammo: Not really a con, but the guns come with 6 packs of ammo... The user must consider that each pack holds around 10 thousand rounds.... A tiny amount is needed for gun fun.The guns come with rechargeable batteries and USB charging cables, the user must provide a suitable 5v USB charger. A red led indicates charging, when it goes out the battery is charged.Ammo: Needs to be soaked for at least 4 hours (until the ball is around 8mm diameter) - a little bit goes a very long way! So spontaneous play is out, but 4 hours can be spent making evil plans... Despite being mostly water, being shot at very close range is uncomfortable. ALWAYS wear the provided safety glasses when playing with the loaded guns. They make a great noise and the 'shots' can be felt when firing, great fun!Extension barrels are provided, but, in my case, were not a particularly good fit, and didn't appear to make any difference to the range of the guns.Worth 4 stars for fun value alone, my grandkids were impressed!

FUN, BUT!
The guns are fairly robust and easy to assemble though the very small red on off switch under the handgrip feels somewhat flimsy.Kit comes with everything you need, rechargeable batts, USB charging cables, masses of ‘pellets’ two clear plastic pellet holders shaped like mills 36 hand grenades and a very brief instructions on A3 sized paper.Issues and points to ponder : IMHO these are not for use by anyone under about 12 years old. Unless you stick to firing at targets then protective goggles are a must (supplied in box). You may need other protective gear such as face masks as well. Not sure about that as haven’t been daft enough to let anyone fire at anyone else. The pellets, when they work, come out pretty rapid and travel a fair distance.Talking of pellets, I find that they are best soaked overnight, in any event they needs a good few hours to swell and reach the required size. Now hard part, before the go into the loading grenade which sits onto of the gun they need to be dry. If there is water in the grenade the gun will not work, at least that’s my experience. Be careful with the pellets as unless handled carefully they go everywhere and if trodden on the go to a mush that’s a pig to get off the floor. I believe they are all Gell with no plastic involved.Unfortunately, the guns don’t work as much as work, possibly because of water, but not sure, and this leads to much frustration on the part of my two users. Because of that only thee stars but they can be fun.

a good vacuum is needed
If the kids are playing with these toy guns around the home then a good vacuum is needed. The little gel balls get everywhere.Although very noisy when being fired these guns don't have the power to cause any injuries so it is relatively safe toy. However, the guns do come with goggle to protect the eyes and for good reason. Kids can fire as many of these gel balls directly at each other, even at close range, with no pain at all but kids are kids and especially with toddlers there is always the temptation to go for the head shots. That is why the goggles are needed. The gel balls won't harm the skin on the face bhut getting them in the syes is a different story. It would be wise to make sure the kids wear the goggles when playing with these guns. After they have played one will need to be a responsible adult and clean up as much of the mess as possible. So, a rechargeable hand held vacuum would be handy. However, if in the home one could sweep a lot of the gel balls up for reuse otherwise it will be a bit costly to keep buying replacements. Obviously one will have to but more balls as these balls are rapidly dispersed and one soon has 100s or even 1,000s of them littered everywhere. If thyey must use these in the home then they need to keep away from large white goods as they can do some serious damage. The balls are small enough to go down the vents on the back of TVs, inside heaters etc. etc. So a bit of common sense is needed as to where the kids play with this product. One thing to note is that there is an instruction on how to use the gel balls and it's straight forward enough. However there is one thing missing in the instruction. It clearly states that the gel balls must be soaked for between 10 to 20 minutes, for them to expend but it fails to mention that they should also be dried off before using as they tend to stick together when wet and many get stuck inside the gun until such a time as they are dry enough to be shaken out.Overall this is a very good toy that does deliver good value. Quality wise it may be a bit average but that's only because it's all plastic. I am recommending this toy but as I said earlier, "one will need to be a responsible adult" and that includes not allowing the use of this toy near waterways (canals / rivers / lakes) or on beaches as the gel balls can do some serious damage to the water we drink and / or both wildlife and marine life.
