Sure they're heavy duty and don't look like a shell suit but for a working tree surgeon and forester they're heavy duty and black so man up and you won't look a d1*k with silly luminous green suede boots on that seem to be a fashion recently.The leather is waterproof with some dubbin and the mud just bangs off when dry.I'm on my 3rd set of laces and the boots are perfectly serviceable.Comfortable, warm with work socks and indestructible so far (2 years) 2nd pair, first pair left on a job and they'd disappeared when I went back for them. I think the homeowner binned em but they're not expensive so not a worry.I have wide feet and they fit well.I recommend getting extra long laces like 2.4m so you can wrap em around at the top, feels good and secure that way and they won't come unfastened when wearing spikes.Oh and they have a proper steel toe, I've seen a saw go straight through a composite one and it wasn't pretty.

Bought these boots as part of my PPE (Personal Protection Equipment) required to qualify as a chainsaw operator for environment work.Easy to put on with wide uppers although the stiffness/thickness of the material does make it difficult to make the laces tight.

Very comfortable boot with chainsaw protection, velcro tongue also ensures you can get a snug fit and that the protection doesn't shift.A practical boot I've used while managing 70 acres of woodland including cross cutting and felling fallen or wind blown trees.I usually fit a size 9, and 43 are a perfect fit - comfortable with or without thick socks.

Good money for value not the most comftable but its what you expeted but still would buy them again
