Book of Sailing Knots: How To Tie And Correctly Use Over 50 Essential Knots

The book is titled "Book of Sailing Knots: How to Tie and Correctly Use Over 50 Essential Knots", but 1/4 of the book is taken up by decorative knots... no Sailing knots. I also did not care for the hand drawn rope example images, this book would have been immensely better if they showed actual pictures. I would return if possible, your better off looking for other books.

Very good book of knots. The more complicated decorative knots could use a bit more explanation. A definite must have for a person that may not have a lot of experience with knots

I have a few knot books, but I like the selection in this book the best. It is a good sailor's reference. It covers whippings and splicings and is very well organized.It doesn't go into a lot of theory or history. "Why Knot?" is a good one for that.

Simple, well-written. Gives formal names and common names for each knot as well as the uses and alternate knots that might also work in any given application on-board. This book is in the sailing library permanently.

The info in this book is somewhat limited, and the instructions are rather convoluted. It doesn’t contain as many practical knots as I had hoped, mostly just different variations of about 5 different types of knots. I wouldn’t recommend it as a reference, more of a collector piece... I guess.

Very good at explaining not only how to tie a knot, but what the particular knot is used for.

Great for kids who cannot imagine how 50 knots can exist.

Good seller.

Amazing book!! Will buy it again if asked.
