Cute and effective
I wear a CGM specifically for the lows…heck, most days I’m lucky to keep my blood sugar above 100! I have reactive hypoglycemia. I’m the exact opposite of a diabetic but can have the same issues with a crash.I’m on my 16th sensor and while I use the over patch provided, I also use a breathable over patch on top of the clear one.I have literally ordered from a dozen different brands. Not one will stick the entire 10 days without some kind of assistance.I really like these patches, specifically the cute designs and sensor cover that came with these patches. When it’s time for a sensor change, I get everything together before I get started. Step one, prepare the new site with an alcohol wipe, let it dry. Step two, insert the sensor and apply the clear over patch according to Dexcom’s directions. Step three swab the whole area around and ON TOP of the sensor with a Skin Tac wipe. I don’t think use skin tac on the top unless I’m adding a sensor cover. Let it get tacky (about 10-15 seconds). Step four add the over patch tape of your choice. Step 5 After your sensor is in place and the over tape is secured well, pair your device and sensor. Step 6 after paired, gently remove the dead sensor with Goo Gone Band Aid and Adhesive Remover or hand sanitizer. It takes the Skin Tac off quickly and easily & your sensor tape & sensor lasts the full 10 days it’s supposed to and you have CUTE and COST EFFECTIVE sensor tape AND you don’t have issues bumping your sensor because of the cover.

Fun patterns, decent patches
I feel like all patches have their flaws, can be awkward to place, and either don't stay on long enough or hurt to remove. These patches are a little awkward but the hard cap is nice and the patterns are fun and cheerful, better than skin tone patches.

Love these!
I do wish over patches weren’t so expensive but, of the 2 types I bought these stayed the best. In 10 days I might have to change it on day 7, but I love how secure they stay and not having to worry about the sensor being knocked out or coming loose.

Sticks well, leaves too much damp
Because I have adhesive allergies, I tested this without my Dexcom under it. I prepped as usual (but without the Dexcom) but removed the patch after the first day because I found the little cover/cap thing annoying and I was concerned that it would irritate my skin if I left it on… it’s very, very sticky. Here’s what I found… the patch isn’t any type of water resistant or water proof. When I removed the patch, several hours after I had showered, my skin was wet underneath where the little cap was. That damp wouldn’t be good for a sensor that was underneath it. The cap doesn’t go all the way over the Dexcom G6, there would be a slight cap at the bottom edge. I found the patch to be very sticky… all over. It is sticky everywhere, including where the patch would cover the cap or a sensor and the sticky bits could be problematic to remove. Overall, while these looked cute, the too sticky all over with no “blank” spot for a sensor, leaves me with no desire to buy these again.

Full patch with a protective cap for dexcom
I've used many types of patches for my dexcom. These are the type that are a FULL patch (no cutout for the sensor). Instead there is a hard protective cap that goes over the sensor so the patch doesn't stick to the sensor. This type of patch makes me feel that it's more secure because the sensor is UNDER the patch, and I like to use this kind when I'm doing a lot of activities/water sports where the sensor is more likely to get hit or snagged. That said, the patch doesn't go on completely flat - tends to get a wrinkle or two because it's not going on a flat surface. In my experience the wrinkle creates an opportunity for loosening of the adhesive that starts at the wrinkle. I do really like the feminine prints. The patch does leave adhesive residue on the protective cap and I use a solvent dissolver to remove that.
