These last longer than the small ones. I light two a day so seems we'll run out of them quickly though. Don't think we can re-cycle sadly as tiny bit of candle left at bottom of container which won't move?

Bought these for camping, when they came I thought there were a little small and expected them to be bigger. But were great, lit one on the first night and you could smell how strong they were and they kept to bugs away!

Some of the candles stopped working 1/2 way down the wick was not straight when setting so it caused a crease, not a strong smell but it did seem to keep the flies out the front room.

I took these candles on a recent camping trip and they exceeded expectations.The candles are smokeless, which was welcome. I struggled a bit at times in the wind initially to keep them alight but once they had burned a bit and the flame was a bit more recessed inside the container they were just fine.They are simple in appearance, just a relatively plain metal candle holder but certainly functional. After a couple of evenings using them for a couple of hours they still have plenty of life left in them - they estimate 15-18 hours per candle and that seems a reasonable estimate to me.They are 2.5oz each and so overall there's quite a lot of burn time.On how effective they are at deterring mosquitoes and the like I'm not so sure. Its difficult to know. However, citronella is a well known deterrent and that is certainly the scent with these (and a very nice smell too).Overall no complaints from me at all.5 stars.

Here we have a set of 8 citronella candles.They come lined up neatly in a cardboard box.Each of the candles comes in a little metal bucket so they look great.Lighting them, they smell like chemicals and burning plastic, making my eyes water. I'm certain these are going to keep pests away, but I would not recommend lighting them inside given the smell.

This set of Citronella candles by Kaiabrain is way way better than I expected for the current price of £9.Firstly they are presented in a really nice Kraft-style cardboard box, properly branded and moulded to protect the candles (see my photos). Then inside, the candles are beautiful, just as shown in the product photos. The silver tins are smooth with no sharp edges, and look great quality. Once the candles are used, you can either pour new wax in to make more candles or use the empty tins for all sorts of purposes. I plan to plant mini succulents in them :)The scent is definitely Citronella, fresh, bright, citrusy but not pungent like some I’ve had. The ones I’ve tried burn without creating smoke (so presumably are the quality wax they claim to be) and seem to keep the insects away as much as anything can.I’ve kept these for myself, but I would happily buy a set of these for a summer housewarming or BBQ or birthday gift - they are presented really nicely and do a great job. Great value. Recommended.

These citronella candles are an excellent size, they burn well and last a long time. They smell excellent and work well at keeping insects and flies away when in the garden.I would expect the price of these would be a substantial amount more if purchased in a garden centre or alike.

As with any citronella product, these do give off a strong smell when burnt but that is what is expected. They do a good job of keeping insects at bay when being used outside, but I wouldn't recommend using them inside as the images suggest, as the smell is a bit overwhelming.
