A pretty comprehensive guide to passing numeracy tests.I bought this book as I had a pending numeracy test for a role I was applying for, where I needed to score over 80% to proceed to the next stage.The book is, if anything, too comprehensive but you can dip into sections are required. There is a solid explanation of the logic behind the questions and how to approach them along with plenty of practice questions.I got 100% in the final test, so it might well have helped get me there!

I did really well with this book but it didn't actually help when it came to the computerised and timed assessment I was attending :-(If you need to do an online test find online examples to get a feel for the real thing

This was ok. It is quite lengthy on the background aspects. I would have prefer the background to be more succinct. The examples at the back start off being easy, easy, easy, very difficult. Plus most of the tests I am aware of are against the clock and I don't think the method used to work out the answer in the examples always be achieved in the time.

This book helped me pass an internal assessment at work achieving 73%.I started off doing online practice tests before buying and reading this book and I was scoring woefully low. I got this book and read it completing the practice questions as I went, right up to the day of the test and just before I went in, and I passed.Highly recommended

Even though I resented most strongly having to take a numeracy test I did find this book exceedingly useful. Indeed in the end I really enjoyed taking the tests in the book against the clock and I definitely improved my numeracy. You need to understand that 'numeracy' in this case is not about being good at maths either mentally or with a calculator. It is all about being able to interpret a question and pick out the data you need in order to come up with an answer. Being able to do simple maths is really a given. In addition there seem to be certain rules and ways of doing things in a numeracy test which, if you are unaware of them, will adversely affect your scores. Thus I do recommend this book if you need to take a formal numeracy test.

Having to face a numeracy test at my age caused a bit of panic. This book really helped me identify wer,e I needed extra effort and how to approach these tests. Very helpful and useful book with different levels to progress through.

I got this book in preparation of an interview that I have with a well known IT company, in the hope that I would be put through my paces. After getting past all the flannel, and there is an awful lot of it, I went straight to the tests.It took me very little time to complete them, or those that I chose to do. I was extremely disappointed how easy the tests were - in fact, I dare say that these tests are at a level that a GCSE student would have absolutely no problems in doing.If you have a logical mind, and are of reasonable intelligence, and you are looking to be through your paces, DO NOT GET THIS BOOK. Get yourself a good IQ testing book, or a book of Sudoku to put you through your paces. This book just does not live up to some of the real life examples that it gives.

I like how it moves incrementally through prearatory test. Attempting to build aptitude in a natural manner.Buy it. It is a good revision of Primary school maths and Common sense Verbal reasoning. Which is highly applicable to Police recruitment.

Great way to practice for analyst type of tests

Speravo di trovare qualche esercizio in più, però ritengo sia molto utile per chi come me si affaccia al mondo dei tests online per la prima volta.L'ho acquistato da BWB perché era più economico e senza spese di spedizione. E' arrivato prima del previsto e ben confezionato. Unica nota negativa è l'assenza di tracciabilità. In italia il pacco deve essermi stato consegnato direttamente dal postino e siccome non ero in casa l'ha lasciato fuori dalla porta col rischio che lo rubassero. Un corriere avrebbe lasciato un avviso e sarebbe ripassato.
