Q: My hips measure 41. Waist 38. To fit waist theyre going to be way big on hips. Any suggestions?

Because these are spandex type material I don't think you will have a problem. You could always return them if they don't work out for you. I really like mine. it has a small pocket on the leg to put my gym locker key or hotel key card when I travel.

Q: How big is the pocket?

There are 2 triangular pockets. About 4.5 inches at the top, unstretched, about 9 inches down, stays wide till it narrows near the bottom. Looks like a cell phone would fit easily. I dont have one so cannot try it out.

Q: Is there elastic on the inner panty leg opening

Hello! Although there is no elastic with the short, the cloth is stretchable.
