Great radio / ear protection
Well worth the money. Radio reception has been surprisingly good. Live in a rural area where reception can be spotty. Have used them while using a wood chipper and splitter and volume has never been an issue. Battery life is excellent. Used for over 6 months before needing to replace batteries. My head size is average. Fit is tight but is tolerable and seems to have gotten better with use. Also noticed the display window fogging up on hot humid days but has always cleared up after a couple of hours.Update Dec 1, 2017.Still working great. No issues. Use them at least once a week since purchased. The antenna has gotten snagged a couple of time causing it to bend further than designed but reception is still great. Wondering if the antenna is replaceable. Looking to purchase a second set soon for my wife.

These work well
Let's start with the bad first. They can be a little tight if you have a big head and you obviously have to use a cord to plug in your audio device. But, they sound just fine (honestly, how high a quality headphone do we need when there's so much surrounding noise) and they do a great job of muffling surrounding sound. They also last well. This is my second pair. I purchased my first pair in 2014 and have used it regularly since then. It still works, but my wife wanted a pair too. If either of these die, I'll definitely buy this model again.

Great safety headphones with MuSIC.
Overall I love these and wear them 4 to 6 hours a day. The AM radio can fade in and out when I listen to a San Francisco station that is 90 miles away, but then again, it is not that great when I am in my car which has a much larger antenna. I usually listen to ballgames and when it fades and I hear excitement, I simply turn my head and It picks back up. FM works great. At first I was disappointed in the volume, especially on the MP3 player, but these are safety headphones and listening to music above a certain level damages hearing, so it makes sense that they are not as loud as my Dr. Dre's :-). My ding on these, I am constantly hitting the volume control with my shoulder when I am doing things such as squatting and gluing pipes as an example. (good thing they do not go very loud). I have learned to shrug and adjust the volume with my shoulder, which is interesting. They are comfortable and definitely reduce ambient noise, I use power tools on project very often.Overall I am very glad I purchased these.

$60 changed the way I think about yard work
**Updated after 8 months - I am still using my first set of batteries in these earphones. This were such a great purchase, I can't recommend them enough. The only negatives I will say is if you are going to be using them for a few hours at a time like me, over time they will start to hurt because they are so tight. After an hour or two I usually take them off for 10 minutes or so, to help with this. Other than that, I have no negative comments, these were a great purchase.**When I do my yard, I use my iPod shuffle with some wired headphones (since my shuffle is not Bluetooth). It is the biggest pain. I am constantly catching headphones cord on the lawnmower or weed eater. My shuffle is nice cause it is small, but during football season I always wish I had radio to listen to the games. I had been eyeing some work FA radio head phones for about a year. . . was hoping I would get them for Christmas or my birthday, but did not. So I decided to do my research and buy them myself. I specifically went with these over the other brands because everyone seemed to say the radio reception was good. I live in East, Texas surrounded by tall pine trees so I kind of thought these would be the best since it is hard to get reception in my area. Got them in, the packaging was decent (they are well protected, see image). First let me say, I got these in June 2016. . . they came with 2 AA Duracell Batteries and the cable to connect the headphones to an MP3 player. I did not need to provide anything on my own. Getting the battery compartment cover off was a little awkward and is the one thing I think Stanley could make better. When I put these on my head, it reminded me of going under water. . . everything went silent. My 7 year old was playing next to me, and he was totally made silent by these headphones. I put the batteries in and turned the item on. The buttons are nice, and very easy to push. It comes with easy to follow instructions, but honestly could have been figured out without the directions. It was very simple. In all honesty, I expected these would not pick up a thing and would get returned to Amazon. . . . boy was I wrong. I tuned to the first channel and was blown away at how clear the reception was. I then preceded to tune to other channels. . . same result. I was even able to catch college radio channels and channels in neighboring towns that I can't even pick up in my car. The AM was not as clear but still picked up none the less. This was all while sitting inside my house, outside the reception was even better. The best part to me is that you have 10 presets for FM and 10 more for AM (so 20 total presets). I plugged in my Apple ipod shuffle and it worked like a charm. If you turn up the volume using the iPod, the headphones recognize it. . . also if you adjust the volume on the headphone it will adjust as well. You do have to have the headphones turned on in order to listen to the MP3 player (which I expected, but I know there are other headphones out there that this is not the case). The fit of these was very nice. I have a size 7 head, and they fit me fine with room to spare. I wear them over a baseball cap with no issues. I used to hate yard work, but now can't wait to get out and mow with these. I highly recommend them, good luck!

Good am and fm reception
Liking it so far, about two months in, used a couple times a week. Good am and fm reception, used mostly in an outdoor setting. Easy to control. Agree with other reviews that the battery cover is a design weak point, but take the extra seconds to seat it properly and it's fine. Happy so far.

Good at muffling noise. Radio works good and is pretty loud. Will be upgrading to a Bluetooth pair in the near future
