This is an attractive and convenient jar for making quick pickles. I wouldn't mind if they sold a larger counterpart, too; this size works well for a couple of people but I'm not sure it would handle a large family-sized batch.

Nicely made for long term use and just the right size to make pickles for two of us. Will buy another for making more pickles!

I got the red. Why oh why did I not know about this magnificent little tool. Now I can throw together a quick radish or onion pickle for burgers or dogs or turkey sandwiches -- and it's ready by the time meal is on table. Get one -- if you like quick pickles.

I haven't made any pickles yet, but this vessel is very beautiful as most Hario/Japan-made kitchen items are. I love my pickle jar maker and expect to be making a lot of delicious ones soon.
