White Worm Cathedral

Coming into prominence due to Philip Anselmo being in the band for sometime throughout the nineties, Death Metal band Necrophagia specialise in gory, horror themed metal littered with samples and grinding, pulverising riffage. The stunning opening to Reborn Through Black Mass sets things off perfectly and it's a big sound the band manage to create with Scrimm's big riffs and relatively new(I think) member Abigail Lee Nero's shredding working well with Necrophagia mastermind Killjoy's spewing out of dark poetry. There's plenty more highlights throughout the album and British horror fans will be pleased to see Angel Blake, the lead character in 70's classic Blood on Satan's Claw, get a song written about her!Although they've been around for years, Necrophagia have always remained a cult affair but they are a bloody(ha!) good band and if the likes of Cannibal Corpse are the sort of band that get you going then I'd highly recommend White Worm Cathedral. This is my first Necrophagia purchase but it won't be my last!Black/extreme metal fans might also be interested to know that Mirai Kawshima of Japanese extremists Sigh, plays keyboard/organ etc. on the album.

my unborn daughter moshes to this in the womb. The wife still hasn't manage to break the chains though so that's a plus and the greatest benefit to this album is it drowns out all of the screams

Je le trouve dans la lignée de "the divine art of torture" que j'avais télécharger, il y a quelques années pour découvrir le groupe.

Honestly I don't know why I've never heard of these guys!!!!! This album is incredible. A mix of black metal and thrash. The opening bits before most of the songs are brilliant!!!!! I love it when bands put movie parts in with there music. I would buy this everytime I saw it for sale if I could. SATAN GIVES IT 6 STARS, AND SAY BUY IT OR YOU'LL REGRET NOT HEARING 1 OF THE BEST BANDS OUT!!!!!!

If you are looking for horror and gore metal music, then look no further than necrophagia. Once again killjoy and his merry band of outlaws have outdone themselves. From the very first song (reborn through black mass) until number 13 your ears and senses will be assaulted.I highly recommend white worm cathedral to anyone who enjoys movies like alucarda, blood on satans claw and directors like lucio fulci.Enjoy my friends. The mid-paced horror sludge of Necrophagia is back and just as good as ever. Great thickness to the guitars and pummeling riffs throughout. If you liked them in the past, you will like them now. Glad that they aren't messing up a good formula for great death metal.

Great album Folks,This is true heavy and I'm saying HEAVY Metal Fine Schtick, I'm closely watching and listening these guys (in different formations) for years and this album is really awesome. Heavy riffs, slower tempo and great singing all in one package and the result is just great metal. Enjoy this album for few bucks, you won't be sorry.Jirka
