BourjoisOmbre Smoky Eyeshadow and Eyeliner 1 Black, .28g

This is quite a good eyeliner, as others have pointed out as an eye shadow it is less successful. It is fairly straightforward to use and apply. It lasts for reasonable amount of time. I would like to give this three and a half stars if possible but as it is a slightly different colour and affect to the norm I will be generous and award it four stars.

I bought as I thought I could create the Smokey look, it’s really hard to get on and super hard to create any look with the smudger. I struggled to remove it with my makeup remover. A Smokey eye pencil should glide on and be effortless to smudge.

This is lovely - especially if you after a smoky eye rather than a sharp 'flick'. Simply apply the crayon (it glides on smoothly) and then use the other end ( a soft tip) to blend and soften the line.I love this - I think it makes me look 'younger' with a blended line rather than a sharper line.Top quality and value. Recommended.

I really like this. It's easy to use and stays put well.I can draw a nice thin precise line with it. I dont use the smudger cos I'm not a fan of this look, but this is a fab eyeliner by itself.

This is a good eye pencil, which provides a good colour and finish to your make up.It's long-lasting and easy to apply, so definitely recommended.

A nice blendable liner, very easy to smudge outwards for a smoky look. Doesn't drag when it goes on. Easy to create a nice smoky look even for someone like me with minimal makeup skills! A great addition to the makeup bag.

This eyeliner crayon has a lovely, soft texture, which makes it really easy to apply. The smudger works well if you want to blend/ soften the look into an eyeshadow too.The black itself isn't as bold as some pencils/ liquids, and I found it smudged if I tried to build the colour (as I have oily eyelids). So I personally, think this would maybe work best for more medium-subtle looks.Overall, I was a fan of this and would definitely recommend it for a softer/ smokey look.

First of all I need to mention that I’m a bit fan of Bourjois brand and have been using their products for over 20 years. Therefore I must admit that I was totally sold by the instant smokey eyes promise from the product photos… unfortunately it did not work for me.The issue I have is the fact that drawing the line and smudging is not as easy as it seems, at least not with the flat black colour. I can imagine it may be easier and look better with the shimmery shades than with the plain black crayon.Also it is virtually impossible to make thin line with this liner as it is very soft and smudges a lot.I really wanted this to work and it’s a pity it didn’t.
