Good value for the price
Most products like this only have 2-4 tests and cost almost as much, so I find this is a real value offering 18 tests! All individually wrapped, they are easy to travel with. As someone that seems to get a lot of UTI’s and ph balance issues, having these tests at home can be super convenient and save a Dr’s visit. I can say that this did properly diagnose that my balance was off.

The Prompting You Might Need....
Menopause, oh Menopause..... (why does it seem that I start half my reviews with this lament?!! Seriously though, changes happen in menopause, "down there"- unpleasant ones you don't expect, one of which being a potential change in vaginal odor. But then you are left with the question, "Is this really an unavoidable change from menopause? Or is this something further going on that needs to be addressed medically? Maybe the pH changes, and then you end up with bacterial changes that need checking?... " I think that this kit for testing vaginal pH is really useful, for possibly providing the prompting you need to remind yourself- Yes, I really need to mention this as a potential issue to my doctor, it might not be just normal changes that come with aging. And then get the official follow-up you need. This kit came with 4 testing kits. It is very simple to use. The instructions they include printed on a paper inside the box are exceptionally good and understandable. The only question I had was about the indicator window itself- is it really supposed to start out that shade of green? Because it looks like it almost starts out in the color zone that signifies a pH outside of normal. However, now that I look at the listing photo again- the photo they have of the test applicator shows it just that same shade of green, so I think that yes- this is how it is supposed to look starting out, and if it turn more yellow, that is the normal range, but it if changes more blue, then that is the indication your pH is such that you need your Doctor to investigate further. One thing they mention in the instructions is to wait at least 15 minutes or more after you urinate or else that could skew the results to a false positive for abnormal pH. Also, they want you to not take the test until 12 hours after any physical intimacy, or 12 hours past using any creams in that area. So, keep those things in mind for getting an accurate result back. I think that they should have clarified on the listing or the instructions what color the indicator starts out at, so that you can trust that the testing strip has retained its integrity and isn't compromised in any way, considering the color it comes looks to already register on the results color strip. That is the only improvement I might suggest. Otherwise, I'm quite pleased with this testing set.

Use Test Strip Like a Tampon
These test sticks look like urine test sticks. I took a test first thing in the morning, and I almost used it wrong just out of habit, but fortunately I caught myself. They are meant to be inserted like a tampon and removed 10 seconds later. The test strip is ready to interpret right away. The instructions are clear, but the color chart is a little too close in shades to decipher easily. The original strip is an aqua green color and is very close to the 4.7 PH shade. Only the two end results, 4.0 PH and 7.0 PH, really stand out from the other shades. The product description says that these tests have been laboratory certified for 99 percent accuracy. The tests are much easier to use than others I’ve used in the past. The handle part is large, round, and easy to hold.

So hard to read
This product might work. It's really easy to use and pretty non-invasive--less so than I thought. However, when it comes to reading the chart, those colors are SO CLOSE TO EACH OTHER that I can't tell where I am on the spectrum, so to speak. This test really didn't tell me anything. Either I'm normal or abnormal. I literally can't tell the difference.

Didn't Work Out For Me
I was really hoping that these test would save me an unnecessary trip to see my physician. However, the results are too difficult to read. On the test result chart, the colors are all shades of green to teal. Which I think are all way too close in color and the color of the result that I got doesn't even match any of them. Maybe these test just don't work at all or maybe I just got a bad batch. Either way it wasn't just the first test that was wonky. I ended up taking another test to experiment with. I dipped it in a few different liquids that has a variety of different ph balances just to see if other colors would appear, but the color stayed the same with that one too. So I ended up just throwing the rest of the tests away because by then my trust in the accuracy was gone.
