I have always been fascinated by the holistic approach to wellness. Whether it be the physical, emotional, or mental treatments that I look for, I seek to achieve an overall internal balance and total health maintenance. Obviously, there are thousands of resources available that claim they are the best and have the most knowledge.Let me tell you; this one book has everything I have been searching for.Ashford delves into a wide range of topics, presented in a very easy to understand, well written, fully encompassing format that covers everything from Ancient wisdom, specific health condition remedies, to how to grow your own herbs! Ashford's topics include antioxidants, blood sugar and cardiovascular support, detox and digestive wellness, mood, stress, sleep, energy, cognitive function, and even skin and hair care. Absolutely everything is discussed.But, that's not even half of the wonderful information shared in this book. There includes a complete breakdown of specific health conditions and each has its own devoted section. No matter what ailment or disease you are seeking a remedy for, this Lost Bible of Herbal Medicine and Natural Remedies is an absolute must have. Phenomenal book. Outstanding information. A perfect resource for the holistic and natural approach to healing!
The holistic approach to healing and wellness has become very popular nowadays and there is a lot of information on this topic out there, but this book is one that I most definitely recommend for those wanting to learn more about it. It covers a great deal of knowledge, remedies, and resources including the basic information and diving deeper into specific ways to use this information. The author goes into impressive details, and I found it all super helpful! I specifically liked learning about the different ways to use these remedies for various health and wellness issues. Instead of focusing on the health aspects and benefits, there is also info on the mental and emotional benefits as well. The chapters in this book include treatments, safe practices and precautions, the history of herbal medicine, growing your own herbs, and even influential herbalists and their wisdom. There is also extra content that comes along with the book that includes video lessons from Barbara O’Neill, one of the herbalists mentioned in the chapter on others’ philosophies.I have been struggling with a few different mental and physical health issues and reading this book gave me inspiration to keep working on bettering myself! I love the natural aspect of these practices and if anyone is wanting to learn more, this is the perfect book to do just that! No matter what you are dealing with, whether it be a certain health condition, mental and emotional struggles, wanting to incorporate more natural practices or just learn more about the science and philosophy, this is a great book choice!

Evidenced-Based!
As a healthcare provider, I often find patients who come in and tell me about all of the natural remedies they found online and what they’ve added to their daily routines, only to find out it is severely contraindicated to a certain medical condition they have or a medication they are taking. I am so glad this book gave me insight to herbal medicine and how I can implement it in my practice, but I sincerely appreciated how 1) it states how crucial it is to consult with a healthcare provider before starting herbal treatment and 2) how it is really science and evidenced-based. This is an easy-to-follow comprehensive guide that I would highly recommend to those looking to start their holistic journey or to those who have been on their journey for years!

Perfect for those wanting to learn and start out with natural remedies
I've recently had an awakening when it comes to my health and realized I needed to do more research. This book is brilliant to understand a nature-led way to heal your body with an holistic approach. The information is not overwhelming and breaks down herbal remedies and practices in a way that's actionable and understandable. The chapters about blood sugar and cardiovascular was the most eye-opening for me, but there's plenty of other interesting tidbits and scientific approaches that I had zero idea about. If you are serious of looking at your lifestyle, and need a comprehensive guide to doing things naturally and holistically, then this is the way to go.
