RYNOSKIN Men's Straight

This is an excellent product. I have used the pants and shirt for seven years and find that they provide complete protection from insect bites of all kinds. For some reason, I am considered prime meat by mosquitoes. It is easy to wash by hand and has proven to be indestructible when worn under work clothes. I have found no other solution to my battle with biting insects that works as well. If you order from Amazon, be aware that the pants are only available in small sizes, with no size options offered by them. If that persists, you can order directly from the manufacturer.

This is fantastic for keeping ticks off me during warm-weather hunting. It's light-weight, comfortable, and I barely know I have it on. Well worth it.

Being an avid morel forager, I needed some barrier against those pesky ticks and this seemed to do the job. After each outing, however, one needs to carefully tick-check the garment otherwise ticks can sneak underneath it and bite you on the next foray. Solution: treat the garment with Permethrin. These do not seem to shrink one bit after washing and, even, after a 45 min boil ! Also, make sure to use briar-proof clothing otherwise these will be ripped into pieces by the sharp thorns, even if these are double or triple layered.

UPDATED: I still think that the pictures and description makes it look like you will receive the complete outfit, but I have to say that the pants do work great. If there is a mosquito or chigger within a mile, it will find me. But not with these pants. Have used several times in tall grass and the woods, and not one bite. I do find them to be hot, but I'll take being warm over being eaten up. I'm a 36 waist 32 inseam, and find that the XL is much more comfortable despite the sizing chart. You do need to be careful putting them on - I had one pair that ripped the seam. Overall, expensive but worth it.

We have a property in Northern a Michigan that is overrun with ticks and mosquitoes. I bought the pants and shirt for that, but today I tried them out at our cabin in a Kentucky. I just watched a mosquito crawl all over my leg trying to bite me and eventually she flew off disappointed! It’s 86 degrees today and i’m comfortable, so the suit is quite breathable. I am a 5’w”, 175 lb. woman so I bought the XL based on the waist size. I do think these run a bit large, I could have probably used the Large size but where the material is tight (back if knees, elbows, armpits) it is a bit sweaty so i’m happy with the XL. The real test will be next week with the ticks. I’ll update then.

I work in a forest. I'm 5'6 and 135 ib. I own the small size leggings. They are breathable, long, can be stretched down past my ankles and onto my feet. I bought the socks anyway and wear both leggings and socks. I wear them alone or under my work pants. They are thin fabric. I don't feel hot in them. I am happy to haveca piece of mind. Last 3 words... I hate ticks.

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT! DOESN’T WORK AT ALL! Within three minutes, I got 27 mosquito bites. My arms and legs look like they are hairy. But it’s really mosquitos stuck there while biting me. It makes it easy to kill the mosquitos that are biting me. But it does not prevent or protect me from getting bitten. I can’t believe this product is allowed to exist in the market. WHAT A SCAM!

Wore the whole set, shirt, pants and socks, into the back pasture. No bug spray. And no chigger bites! Usually have to douse myself in DEET, but these worked great.

These are, unfortunately, not remotely mosquito resistant -- I still had to cover my legs in insect repellant :( 3/5 stars because at least they work against ticks, which is important.

Lies lies lies! Mosquitos ate me alive in these pants! I would have had better luck against mosquitos had I been wearing jeans. The material is pretty thin and the bottom hems aren't tight enough, so technically, a tick could crawl under. Don't waste your money, folks!

Edit: 3 years later these are friggin AMAZING and BUG PROOF & SUN PROOF. Can't recommend enough. A summer must for outdoor lovers. I got the green pants thinking I could wear them on their own - nope! Sending back in to exchange for tan since I will have to wear these with shorts overtop anyway. Fit wise: I wear size 29 jeans, the small fits fine. I am also tall & these do go down to the ankles. They feel very nice on, smooth & silky.

Tear easy unless you roll them up and slip foot in and then roll down to take off. Used the entire Rynoskin product head to toe while turkey hunting in very buggy woods. No mosquito, black fly nor tick bites

Ordered these in January, and tried them on when I got them. Seemed fine. Now it’s May, and I’m finally taking them out to use for a weekend portage trip, and I’m only now noticing the stitching is unravelling on both knees. Tried to tie the ends so it doesn’t unravel more because my return window closed in April. As for whether they protect against bugs, we’ll see. If it’s just my knees bitten, then I’ll blame the holes the bugs crawled into from the stitching :-/ Not sure if the socks are supposed to be different, but I bought them a long time ago and they seem much thicker than the pants. Socks seem like 2 layers vs. 1 on the pants. You’ll need some confidence if you’re planning to wear them alone, they’re pretty see-through, FYI.
