Zentangle 3, Expanded Workbook Edition: Tangling With Rubber Stamps (Design Originals) 40 Original Tangle Patterns, Interactive Exercises, and Stamping Ideas & Inspiration for All Skills Levels

I enjoy Zentangling and own A LOT of rubber stamps. This is a perfect idea book for me. Since I Zentangle on fabric that I paint I was only looking for ideas as a jumping off point. It's a short book that gets your imagination started and working on a project. If you would rather start from the beginning and on paper I would recommend Joy of Zentangle, also by Suzanne McNeill. There is a wonderful directory in it with examples of each tangle along with information on pens, paper, etc. I didn't purchase the cards that were recommended but rather started with empty bar coasters that I purchased on Amazon. It is a much more economical choice for me since paper wasn't my final medium. Definitely purchase the expanded editions if possible. They offer even more tangles.

This is an OK book if you have a LOT of stamps, and like to expand on the stamps, like drawing things on the stamps and then doing tangles on this. I do like to do tangles on the inside on my stamps, such as fish or butterflies. I have a stamp of a hand and I have done tangles within this. I believe that the examples used are too extreme for the book. The picture of the woman on the front cover is just too far out. Maybe this book is intended for teens who like more of a tattoo look. What ever the authors point, she missed it with me. The content of the book is shallow and as usual she leaves too many pages for exercises. Some of the content appears to be fillers when she runs out of content. This must be difficult as she only has 36 pages to fill. Some of the Zentangle book are great and some so so. This is between a so so and a yuck.

The only reason this did not receive 5 stars is because they changed the cover but the inside is the same except for the workbook.I thought it was a completely different book. I don't think they should do that. I'm keeping it and giving the other one to a friend, but had I known it was the same, I would not have purchased it.

Helpful instruction for doing Zentangle designs

thought this is not my favorite of the series, it complements the others well. I love the series

awesome set of books. daughter loves them. she likes to doodle. there are like 10-12 of these books

Some neat ideas although quite pricey.

I like drawing Zentangles. I normally sketch and draw various things but somethings it's nice to do something different. I think there is something relaxing and challenging about drawing patterns. I bought this to help me learn more about Zentangles and found it very good.

Useful book with some lovely zentangle patterns. More useful than book 1 which was too basic.

For anyone keen on Zentangles, this is a first class book and I would highly recommend it.

Love working with this book and really glad I bought it.
