Incredible construction quality, sound, and typing experience.
I think this is the best pre-built keyboard you can get. Unless you're planning on spending a few hundred dollars and several hours building your own keyboard, this is probably as good as it gets.Pros:-The banana switches sound amazing - not too loud, and incredibly tactile.-Aluminum base is very high quality.-VIA compatibility gives you tons of customization.-Efficient keyboard layout. 96% is perfect if you want every key and a full numpad while not being as wide as a full size.-Keycaps are good.-Knob is sturdy, not loose at all.-The design and color choices look great. I almost didn't buy this keyboard since I wasn't a fan of how it looked in pictures, but after owning it for few weeks I love the design.Potential cons:-Heavy due to aluminum base, so I wouldn't recommend if you need something portable. It never leaves my desk so that's not an issue for me, I actually like the weight since it makes it feel sturdier.-Keycaps are fairly tall. It took a little bit to get used to it, but I don't mind it now. Could be a negative if you have shorter fingers.-No caps lock or numlock lights. Kind of a weird choice, this is the only thing I don't like about it.Overall 10/10 for my use case. Really the only downside is that Keychron offers other high quality keyboards at a much lower price. I actually just bought their K5 to use at work since I liked this one so much.

Heavy and solid build but typing experience not great... it's bad
I'm a long time Keychron user. I LOVE their keyboards and usually they are cheaper than others for better quality. For this keyboard it was very mixed.Good: It is SOLID. I like a heavy keyboard so it doesn't move around and doesn't feel weak. It looks great! The layout is so nice. Sometimes I switch to a TKL and sometimes use a 96% (1800-ish). I love the form factor. The build quality is so good on the case and sound proofing. It's thocky!Bad: The typing experience is AWFUL! Like I said, I've have had a LOT of Keychrons. My K Pros are WAY better than this thing. It double and triple types (and I tried MULTIPLES of this model including another Q Max, the 3, and it was the same). The stabs are wonky! I took several of mine apart to compare and this thing is shaky and wonky for the stabilizers. Terrible. My K4 Pro is WAY better. This causes the keys to "rock" and get stuck. If you are careful it will work. For keys with stabs I wound up going through all of them and putting the keycaps on and carefully adjust the position on the stabs and it got better. I've NEVER had to do that on their other models.I'm not a fan of the Banana switches either. At least the run I got stuck. They didn't feel like what similar switches I've tried felt like. They felt weak and again, just not very stable in the slot.Overall, I did not like this keyboard. It is the worst Keychron I've ever used (along with its sibling the Q3 Max). Come on, Keychron, do better. Also, the support was not great. The person was not kind and understanding like the past, but pushy and basically telling me I'm out of luck. I bought my Q3 Max directly from them and the return process was not good. Their policy is 7 days return for any reason and then give you a Chinese address that costs 2x the cost of the keyboard to return! After some pressing they were kind enough to let me return it (THEIR POLICY ALLOWS IT FOR ANY REASON, SO WHY GIVE ME SO MUCH TROUBLE ABOUT THE REQUEST?!?!?!) to a US address. Thanks. I'm going to order another model because this thing was just horrid.

Really great keyboard
I just got this keyboard yesterday. It's amazing (and HEAVY)! I love that it's got three modes of operation: Bluetooth, cabled (USB C with adapter), and with a 2.4GHz USB dongle. As a programmer, Bluetooth is my usual go-to, but as I work on and troubleshoot machines, it sometimes isn't available. The dongle and wired modes are super valuable when that happens! The keyboard is a little more compact than I'm used to, with the del/pgup/pgdown/home buttons lined up vertically, and no 'end' key. I'll get used to the size after a day or two, but I'll have to remap another key to 'end'. I use that all the time while coding.I love the feel of the keys with the yellow switches. They're very smooth and have a moderately firm keypress, producing a nice "tapping" sound without the sharper "click" sound. It's great for an environment where noise might be an issue. It's certainly a little louder than the rubber bubble keyboards, but pretty quiet as mechanical keyboards go.I've had two issues so far:* The 'r' key double-strikes about 30% of the time, which is irritating. It looks like others have also had this issue. I'm sure it's easily resolved by replacing the switch. I did re-seat it, and that helped a bit, so the hot-swappable switch feature is probably going to come in handy!* The Via app doesn't seem to work automatically with it. It says it's compatible, but after authorizing the keyboard (with cable, in cable mode), it doesn't proceed to show the settings panels. Possible I just messed it up somehow. I'll toy with it. It seems like that would be a pretty obvious issue if it was broken for everyone.Anyway, despite a couple hiccups, I think I'm going to be really happy with this keyboard.

My second Keychron keyboard and love it
This keyboard has the brown switches. It is built like a tank. You could defend your home with it from an intruder. The sound of the keys is melodic and the keys have good feel and travel. I use it with a desktop. It is highly recommended.
