Great for the final finish when detailing a sink
Great product. When used properly and in conjunction with steps to remove more aggressive scratches, i.e. sanding pads, the maroon 3M pad(the most course of the two) provides the perfect satin grain finish to match the rest of a typical stainless steel sink. I didn't even need to follow up with the grey pads. Too many restoration products out there want to polish a stainless steel sink to a high shine. While that's fine for some, I just wanted the "factory look" back in the end.TIPS: With the grain always. Don't go back and forth since it creates "hook" marks at either end that look bad. One direction only... over and over and over and over... sort of like planing a piece of wood. Use a sponge cleaning pad or some other dense foam pad to wrap the scouring pad around to more evenly distribute hand pressure. Don't use your hand alone since it will leave marks where your fingers press down. Don't use a hard item like a block of wood since your sink isn't flat and the edges will drag and leave marks in various places. Overlapping one-way strokes to ensure an even finish. Lots of progressive overlapping. Don't make circles around the drain rather just go straight over it or as close to it as possible. If you go over it, it will get scuffed so be ready to replace if you want a shiny drain ring. Stop and periodically wash out the sink with soapy water to assess after you've completed an entire pass and things look relatively uniform. Take your time and be ready to put in the effort.

WOW!! This stuff is amazing!!
I purchased this for one reason and it worked out great. As you can see in my photos, I used this to remove some scratches from my Bulova watch. I started with a small 1" x 1" square of the very fine. I just applied a little firm rubbing in the same direction of the grain in the original brushing and within a minute or so, the scratched started disappearing. Once the scratches were nearly gone, I started using the very fine and the scratches were soon gone. It was very easy. There weren't any scratched on the other side of the crystal but I did the same process just to make sure that both sides matched and it came out perfect. Couldn't be more pleased. Highly recommend!!

Fantastic for fine finish painting & varnishing.
I use these for sanding between coats of high gloss polyurethane paints & varnish. If using sandpaper, it constantly loads up, and often you have to wait a few days for the surfaces to get hard enough to sand well. But with these pads, you can sand the next day. (In fact it's better if you do. Wait 2+ days & it gets too hard for these.) If you have a finish that is really prone to loading sandpaper or these, you can use them with flowing water and they never load. That's also a great feature to eliminate dust (if that's and issue). They are a bit pricey if you're going thru quite a few of them, but the time savings easily recovers that.

No 3M printing on these pads
Its not 3M!3M scuff pads have it printed on the pad..these don't!The printing blurred. .but it doesn't have 3M.I've only used one on some light use...quality is yet to be determined

Better than steel wool for sanding.
Much better than steel wool for finish sanding of your project. Steel wool leaves steel particles everywhere, and quickly becomes depleted...requiring yet more steel wool, more mess and more rust if not properly cleaned. These pads are far superior, will not shed dust, as the residue gets absorbed into the pad. They say a quick wash will restore the pad, though I have not tried this yet, but it makes sense. Wet sanding is also accomplished with this pad. Though the number of grits is not as large as wet or dry sandpaper, it seems to do the trick for most sanding projects I’ve come across.

Not Genuine 3M Scotchbrite
A user asked if this was a genuine scotchbrite in the question section and someone replied that it was. However, it is a knock off. The title should not mention 3M Scotchbrite as it is misleading.

Great for sanding between coats of poly
These work great between coats and as a final buff to take down the shine on oil-based polyurethane.

Scotch-Brite Works, Like A Charm!
These are great for cleaning and scrubbing, depending on what surfaces you are working on! The gray is wonderful for cleaning porcelain, and other light cleaning tasks! The maroon is just a little bit coarser, and, as with all Scotch-Brite pads, it greatly reduces the need for any harsh chemicals, etc! They work great with Simply Dawn soap for so many things!!
