This does defrost meat a bit faster than just leaving on the counter. We had been defrosting in hot water (no microwave) but the bags would develop leaks and the food sometimes gets water logged. Even double bagging wouldn’t always work to prevent water seepage.We tested it out with bone in chicken thighs 2 per pack, and veggies. There was no difference with veggies in thaw time, both were slow. The chicken was defrosted in about 45 min and the one on the counter was just over an hour. The ones we bag in water usually 20-30 min. But this tray is my preference. It’s faster than just leaving out, and doesn’t get water logged.

I was excited to receive this tray but was disappointed. There was a small dent in one end but it did not interfere with the use of the tray. Tray fits into the drip tray securely and stayed in place throughout its use. It took longer for meat to thaw out than I expected. However, I will continue to use the tray and hopefully work out a system on how to prepare meat for freezing to make it easier to thaw out.

Hi: Love this product not sure how it works but it works great and a time saver when cooking stuff direct from the freezer.

Never thought these would work. It is awesome! Get one! I bought some for Christmas gifts!

This tray does speed the thaw time for meat, especially poultry. It does not seem to do as well with red meat. The drip pan feels a bit flimsy, but so far, we have had no issues with it.

It takes longer to work but haven’t tried enough times and is in a cold kitchen

Does not work. I had 2 frozen burgers on it for almost an hour and barely any defrosting. I will be returning.

I was doubtful about ordering but did on my friends recommendation . To my surprise it works, I have used it every day since I received it.. for the money you can't beat it.
