We hang laundry on the sundeck on nice days, an one of these nestled in the crepe myrtle that is right by the deck keeps the birds away and the deck itself much more bird poop free. Did the same thing where we park the car. Normally you have to move them around every week or so, or the real birds catch on, but the bobble heads seem to solve the problem as even a tiny breeze moves them a little.

These two small owls did a great job of keeping the birds away from my front porch! I recommend them 100%

The owls were about 8 inches tall and the head does bobble but it hasn’t worked at chasing the neighbor’s chickens off my porch. We keep moving them from place to place to try chasing the chickens away.

I ordered this set with the goal of scaring away the grackles that are an endless, profoundly irritating pest in my yard. They ignore pretty much every attempt at removal just to rapidly consume any treat that I try to leave out for visiting cats and squirrels. I'd read that a fake owl with rotating head would do the trick, but sadly I can't really say that this worked.These owls are perfectly well-made, but keep in mind their height. They're really rather small, standing at just a little more than half a foot tall. The description makes this information clear but it's possible that the small stature may be playing a part in the grackles' tolerance. The owl's heads are also meant to move around in the wind but I found that they're mostly still, only bouncing a bit and requiring a little manual movement to turn. I think that the spring may be too short to allow the heads to loosely flop around. On a larger statue, which would accommodate a longer spring, this might work a little better. I do appreciate that there are three owls in the pack which makes them a better deal, and also gives buyers more options for placement and coverage. The ability to fill the owls with sand, gravel or other similar objects to give them weight and keep them steady is helpful as well. The caps fit snugly enough into the base that I don't have worry of them slipping out. The owls themselves are realistic and well-detailed, even including some white poop at the base.There's nothing really wrong with these owls which is why I'm awarding 4 stars. I just can't quite give them a full 5 stars because ultimately they didn't really do anything to scare away the grackles, which hop right past them to eat other animals' food. Smaller or less persistent birds might be more afraid, and if nothing else these owls would look very nice in a garden or potted plant. They're a nice item, they just weren't able to solve my annoying bird problem. Hopefully you'll have better luck.

They don’t work ! Birds don’t care about them, they land rite on owls head! Guess only for decoration ! Christmas is coming up😄

Added one to each dock and haven’t dealt with bird droppings since. Cheap way to keep your dock area tidy.

It fit the space nicely and the bobble head I hope, will deter birds seeking to build nests. I’ll add some flash strips behind it but I put some rocks inside so it’s weighted down. Let’s see how they fair

They have completely kept the squirrels away!
