Review An interactive memento of the new academic year, featuring puzzles and activities plus space to record thoughts, feelings and photos (The Bookseller)A fun, fill-in book all about starting school (Woman's Way)A bright, colourful fill-in book which introduces your child to every aspect of school life... with lots of space for pictures and colouring-in, it's a great way to prepare for the First Day (The School Run)A lovely lasting record of those all-important first days (Parents in Touch)A simple book which might make the build up to the big day a little easier (Newbury Weekly News) About the Author Chris Dickason's irreverent sense of humour was born from years as both a mild mannered doodler and angry burger flipper. Taking inspiration as much from Henri Matisse as he does The Muppets, as well as odd bits of packaging collected from foreign supermarkets, Chris' work has been described as charming and visually striking with a sharp graphic style. His illustrations are populated with rambunctious characters that are a cleverly crafted mix of an uncomplicated line style and wonky perspectives.

Even his teachers loved it
I bought this for my autistic son who's already at school but went thru a period of crying. I put photos in and because it's a big a4 book, there's plenty of room to customise it. He loves it and it helped settle him back into school life. Even his teachers loved it

... preparing for school as it has pages with activities like Draw Your Teacher
Ok as long as your child has actually gone to school -- not really any use at preparing for school as it has pages with activities like Draw Your Teacher. I bought it for a child about to start school and she found it quite confusing as I think she thought that it was going to be about telling her what it was like going to school not asking her to represent it before she was there. Oddly pitched.
