A! Quality in Design and Performance = Overall A1 Deal ...
Had been in search for a newer boombox to take to work simply because I dispize the annoyance of the piped in crap they chose (lol). SO when this one had been found I opted for it due to its size and many cool features. The result - so glad I did cuz this products over the top amazing for its simplicity alone.Upon arrival u see this small box that's only 7" by 4 3/4" with a height of 8" - what the. There's only 2 cables, a small info booklet, and the unit itself included SO that b why. Once un-boxed I'm in thinkin' ok howz this lil device gonna perform in all aspects AND no sooner did I find those answers. Firstly its only a tad larger than a CD disc itself b why such a smallish box to contain the device since the device only measures out to b 6" by 3 1/2" with a height of only 7 1/2" and thats only about 2" larger than a CD due to where all the controls and electrics r housed - in a 2" by 6" by 3 1/2" base ! I opted for the 'grey' finish - it's a 'matte grey' and was the best choice in my opinion. There's a swing door mounted vertically that's clear for view of the CD and has a light ring directly behind the disc mount so u can view the CD while installed and that light ring lights up (more on that feature in a momento). The controls ( 6 touch buttons ) r located to the right on top of the base plus a larger on/off volume 'knob' located on the right side front of that base. All added inputs/outputs ( 4 of em ) r located on the rear of the base. Charging doesn't take all that long which also has a light to inform current and complete status of the charge. Now back to the light ring ( this is pretty cool on its own ). U can adjust the color from a variety of shades - also the brightness - and even turn it off. The CD ( in most any format ) will fully function - I chose quite a few older CD's that were self-made years back - they all played thru without issue. As far as any skipping - I've moved the unit while in play - as long as it's not jerked around and dropped - it's skip-proof ! I've carried it around while in play - it was flawless ! As far as sound - Amazingly the sound reporduced from this lil box is seemingly much better than some of the prior boomboxes I've had in possession over the years - sound tinny - well of course - thou the sound really is quite amazing for it's size. For a richer bass - added speaks r recommended BUT at least this one 'does' have the inputs/outputs for powered speakers in which I do possess and they work great with this device. Some other boomboxes out there don't even comply with that. Plus this device also retains the 'search/skip/pause/fast fwd' features most wanted AND all r in view on the larger than expected front led screen display. This is one of best of the newer CD players out there and I've tried and have had quite a few. This one does top all of those AND for the cost of under 100 bidenbux in bidenflationary times - this one - for what u get - is simply a super deal. No complaints - no faults found - a great performer in every aspect. These guys did a great job here - completely satisfied and highly recommended 👍

Rad retro disc player with updated and brand new features
I’m such a fan boy for retro electronics. Typically tho, they are light on the quality and heavy only on the nostalgia favor to bring in the older consumers. This CD player really adds function to form with a few new features you wouldn’t find in old school disc players and mostly improves on existing disc player technology.First, it looks like something youd find on a stockbrokers desk in the late 80s when CDs were kinda mysterious and sexy. I know, I’m a thousand years old. The lights are really well done without being a beach disco in Bali distraction. Or you can switch them off. It’s called “dream” mode when they are on.The digital out is WHERE. ITS. AT. Truly this is a necessary for top of the line sound equipment and this surprised me that a disc player included one. No need for adaptors.I adore that it burns music to an SD card. AND at a near lossless format. Where can you find that these days?! Not in your laptops. They went out of style around the time as the HDD for the SSD hard drive.Latest Bluetooth connectivity (5.3) which is necessary but if you’re using this, it’s more than likely with the digital out or to burn CDs. I appreciate that it’s included along with a wired headphone port tho.It has a rechargeable battery! Again, anything that doesn’t or WORSE makes me use AA or AAA is dead. To. Me.The speakers aren’t going to win any prizes which is disappointing for the price. Everything should be top of the line for the cost and if it wasn’t for it being first class in every other detail this would have taken off a star.It has an auto shutdown feature. Why on earth doesn’t everything electronic?? With a timer or a 30 min shut down with no activity. You do not have to be a NASA button engineer to work it. It’s intuitive and super user friendly. It better be if it’s being marketed to a demographic who remembers ye olden days of CDs.I love this little non binary guy and/or girl disc player. Whoever designed the button path to make it so easy while still including so many features deserves a pay raise. And as I said from the beginning, it takes what we loved about the disc player and turned it into an actual 2024 version with updated tech and even features we didn’t know we needed.Probably a smaller user base for this disc player with cost but for those that love it, will LOVE IT.

Built-in speaker is so-so - otherwise great
This modern take on the good-old-fashioned Discman packs in a ton of features which I'll mostly never use. Being able to transfer albums straight to a memory card without having to mess around with obsolete PC software is massively convenient, though. I completed that tedious work long ago, but there are still a couple times a year I bring home a new-to-me CD, and I still maintain an extensive collection of favorite albums. I love that this player showcases the disc artwork, both in motion and at rest - many of my favorites were designed with visibility in mind and most players I used over the years had at most a tiny window to see the disc.I wish the light had more options. Also, the built-in speaker is only OK. It's a lot more portable than the old models that took 6-8 C- or D-cell batteries and had bookshelf speakers attached. It's also more convenient than the tiny speakers that plugged into an audio jack. Even so, I've got compact Bluetooth speakers with much better sound quality than this, so it is a little bit of a letdown. The digital optical output does make up for this to some extent, and I'm not sure how common that feature is on comparable models - several of which appear to be much less expensive than this one.Other than the speaker, this is a pretty nice little player. I would suggest shopping around to compare features with different models that may be a better value, but this one is a fine choice if its style and feature set suits you.
