Poor map case.
Unfortunately, I do not like this case. I actually really do not like it. The product is a design that is meant for someone who wants their map in a case for when they walk around their backyard, and do nothing which involves actually having maps protected in the actual middle of nowhere. To start, the case is deceptively small, regardless of the posted dimensions. Not good for use with USGS Topo maps or MGRS maps. A lot of folding needed. A lot. This comes with 2 ziplock bags inside, which HAVE HOLES in them. Not like a defect, like a hole to allow air out for it to be flat. Fun Fact: Holes LET WATER IN.The case itself, has a good plastic cover which is very flexible and kinda strong. Neat. Grease pens/ Alcohol Markers work great on it. The zipper is quality. The backside of the case is a fabric material. The fabric IS NOT WATERPROOF or even slightly water resistant. On the opposite side of the zipper, the bottom of the case, there are large grommets, probably to let air or water out. THEY LET WATER IN AS WELL.I used this for some navigation for about a total of 30 miles of mostly dry days, with maybe some light rain. Case worked great, minus I was always having to remove and refold my maps due to the small size (my fault). Then I was out in rain, navigating for about 4 hours. My map was mush. I needed it out size I was in a very difficult area to navigate, and the water just went in. Through the fabric, through the holes, everything.A gallon or larger ziplock bag is a cheaper and VASTLY superior map case than this item.If you want a real map case which is not a ziplock, go get a Sealine map case. DO NOT use this case for actual usage in the wilderness. If you think you will actually get your map wet, use anything else but this. Don't waste your money.

“Waterproof” means it comes with ziplock bags
It’s not waterproof. It has two big grommets on it. The “waterproof” portion is the 2 zip lock bags. This item is an utter joke. I expected more from a company like Rothco. I guess they’ve spent the last 65 years learning how to properly word a scam without it being false advertisement.

It looks like someone took a hole punch and put holes in ...
The item is not in the least waterproof. The external nylon shell has holes in it that I can only figure are for attaching the case to something. Then the internal ziploc bags that would be to keep your maps dry, have holes in them as well. It looks like someone took a hole punch and put holes in the "waterproof" bags. Do not get this case if you intend to use it anywhere around water.

Not waterproof in any way.
Waterproof my butt. As everyone else has mentioned here, there are two grommets in it. I suppose to drain out water?Don't waste your money. Just buy large ziplock bags and be done with it.

Don’t waste your money.
Horrible quality item. Doesn’t fold up compact like images at all. Waste of money. Cheap made in China quality. BYO zip lock bags in order for this item to even be considered water proof.

No more melting maps
No more melting maps. I don't know what else there is to say. Absolutely love this little buddy. Was also pleasantly surprised it came with a few inserts? I had no idea, so horray! Love it.

Literally HOLES IN IT.
Are you kidding me? There's HOLES in it! Including ziplock bags inside of a thin nylon case doesnt count as waterproof. I could save a crap ton of money and just use ziplock bags. What a joke.

Absolutely love this
I go analog when in the back country and this has kept everything dry and easy to read. I use a maglite flashlight holster to strap this to my hip, but if a holster loop or something similar was available with this, that would put it over the top. I have received several compliments on this already from other hikers

J'aime bien.....
J'aime bien.....mais je suis un peu déçu le format ne permet pas vraiment d'y insérer une vraie carte topo au 1/50 000
