Vasque Men's St. Elias Waterproof HIking Boot

I use these boots for work primarily and they do get a lot of abuse and ware and take it quite well. The leather and workmanship are top notch especially for the price paid. They are versatile enough to be worn in 75 percent of places one would go as well as being very comfortable, warm and waterproof from day one and needing very little break in period.The only issue I have with them is that in the sole there is a section designed to cushion the foot and it worked well but.in my case it has blown out the side so doesn't serve its purpose anymore, but other than that they are great boots and I would/will buy them again.

I've been wearing this Vasque model for years. Name any brand of boot and I've tried them, including other Vasque boots, and this is hands down the best boot for me. I work with turf so I do a lot of walking, riding machines, etc. These are waterproof, supportive at the sole, arch, and ankle. Great grip, breathable, and durable.I'm sure these are great hiking boots but for me, they are great work boots. They take a ton of abuse from rough terrain, harsh weather, and chemicals. I can normally count on a year of hard use before the sole begins to lose support. Never had another boot that can do that. If you're getting them for mainly hiking, they should give you good service for years. Worth every penny and then some.

I’ve been wearing Vasque Sundowner hiking boots since 1995. At first I was disappointed because I couldn’t find them online. But the St. Elias boots looked very similar, so I ordered a pair. Turns out either Vasque changed the name of the boot, or they created a twin. Super comfortable, fit like a glove, provide superior ankle support. Best of all, the seams inside the boot are seen in such a way as you do not feel them. At all. Very grippy sole provide good traction. Not sure yet if these are waterproof but i am assuming that they are. Top quality, you cannot go wrong with this boot.

I typically wear Danners. Mountain 600s are one of my favorites. I've had a few Vasques over the years that held up decently too. This pair was on sale and very comfortable right out of the box, not nearly as narrow as some past Vasque models, but still on the narrow side. I usually wear a 11.5-12D and the 11.5s fit fine in these. Lacing system is not my favorite, but seems tolerable. I don't love the big "VASQUE" In the leather going down the outside and inside of the boot. I switched out the black shoelaces that came with them , with some classic vintage red/black ones, and feel like they look better, but that's just my personal vintage preference. Time will tell how they hold up. Based on the initial fit out of the box and overall aesthetic curb appeal, I recommend them for those reasons early on. Seem like a light to mid weight boot for light hiking/backpacking. Haven't tested the waterproofing or grip/traction yet. Comfort is good, construction TBD.

Update: Vasque customer service finally contacted after 15 days. Their answer was simply to deal with the seller and leave them alone. I think I'll stay far away from Vasque footwear in the future.Original Review:Bottom line up front: If you need a comfortable boot for dry weather, these will do. But if you really need dry feet on a wet hike, you'll do yourself a favor by looking elsewhere. And don't even think about turning to Vasque Customer Service when things go wrong.These boots are obviously made from quality leather and yet the break-in time was pleasantly brief. They fit my feet better than nearly any other shoes I own and feel good all day long. They have sure-footed traction, good rock protection, and even great styling.BUT...I bought these boots specifically for the Gore-Tex lining and both boots leaked the very first time they got a little wet, 3 minutes into my first hike with them. I only walked through a few shallow puddles, nothing deep. There is no way the water could have gotten in from the top, but they definitely let in water at the flex point in both boots, leaving me with cold, mushy toes. Vasque Customer Service has been completely non-responsive so far to my requests for warranty assistance.

My favorite boot of all time. Sturdy boot thay keeps your foot dry. Boot is not very breathable if that is what you are in to.

Well made design quality materials they were a little stiff at first but after breaking in they became a wonderful mountaineering boot

Seller had wide sizes available. These fit perfectly. I had forgotten what a comfortable fit with a wide boot was like, since wides are hard to find now.

Materiales de cran calidad, seguramente me durarán mucho en buenas condiciones. Soy talla 7 de ancho normal, pedí 9 (americano) y me quedan perfectas, muy cómodas. Las volvería a comprar!

¡Buenos días!!Entiendo que encontrar botas Vasque es complejo, hay poca oferta.Sin embargo las botas llegaron rayadas, por todos lados (lado interno, lado externo, detrás y al frente) como se muestra en las fotos.Tal vez por su empaque o del envío, ya que no han sido utilizadas, las suelas están sin marca de uso.¡Saludos!!Armando😞

Son mis segundos pares de esta marca, sencillamente recomendables. Solo debes considerar que son para superficie boscosa y me han durado mucho aparte de la comodidad
