it does what it claims to do
Using this is scary but once you get the hang of it, it's quite remarkable. Seems well made...I call it Mums sedan chair. We have used it twice now...first time going down the door steps then turning a tight corner (felt very tricky) for the long stretch of path and a few steps by Mum and Dads bungalow. We reviewed our plans the second time by guiding Mum down the tricky bit by foot, not on the sedan... and putting her on the chair for the long stretch of path and a few steps. All this will hopefully be temporary while she recovers from her hip op.I wish the straps had an obvious place to be and were attached. I wish it had arms for Mum to rest on , and padded at that. But this is the budget end and only for a short journey. Its easy to put together as long as you read the instructions properly and put the wheels on correctly so the brakes are in the right place. When it arrived I thought it was heavy without Mum on it...but somehow the engineering of it makes it manageable...Mum is just under 8 stone.I only started to think about this way of getting Mum out of her property as I could see patient transport were going to be unreliable..already leaving Mums bungalow after her appointmnet time at the hospital...and then they are so easily at capacity....but the good thing is I searched for something like they used.

Not quite as solid as you would want
We had to get our ancient auntie down her narrow stairs and this helped a lot. Half way down one of the handles decided to pop out of its locked position, which was a bit scary, but we still managed safely. There are straps to secure your passenger but sadly they don't attach to the chair itself.

Absolutely no complaints.
Used when my mother in law ended up immobile after an operation and this was the perfect tool to get her up and down the stairs in our house whilst she got better.Sturdy and easy to use.

Very good quality, easy to assemble and use. Vital equipment to have to hand.
Pepe - Stair Lift Chair (B0D4R2MP3Q)Very good quality, easy to assemble and use. Vital equipment to have to hand.Rated for max weights of 100kg (220lbs/15st 7lbs), this chair comes into its own when there is a need to transfer someone downstairs. It is designed for efficiency rather than relaxation and that is how it should be. You need to be able to secure someone quickly into the chair, check they are safe and then get them down the stairs quickly but safely and that includes your own safety too. Many elderly and infirm people may have a chair lift that becomes unusable in the event of a fire or need to evacuate so this is a very important piece of kit to have to hand.It is expensive but this type of item demands high levels of design and quality so as a one off cost, this is more than reasonable if it saves someone. Also, it works very well as a wheel chair and for carrying persons up a flight of steps when a ramp is unavailable.A very well made, vital piece of equipment.

Very high quality; easy assembly; check user weight as max is 100 kg
You can tell this is well made from the start - the way the unit is made is simple and uses high quality materials and components.Minimal assembly is required - the back wheels and handles - you get spanner and screwdriver etc needed. You are ready in just a few minutes. The chair folds flat for storage - remember to engage the wheel lock if storing upright on the back wheels or it will slide forward. This requires 2 people to carry the person in the chair - one holding the back handles and one the extendable front ones. The maximum user weight is 220lb or 100kg which is ok for our needs but make sure you check it will be suitable.I realise this is quite expensive at nearly £200 but it needs to be made to a high standard for obvious reasons.Highly recommended.

Wish it had arm rests.
This item was originally ordered for an elderly relative who passed away before we got to build it and use it on her. So the wheelchair stood in it's box, unbuilt for a few months before I heard of someone else who would benefit from it - a neighbours mom.The wheelchair was easy to build, and I know it is advertised as being more of a stair lift chair than an actual wheelchair, but it's sole intended use was for in the house and maybe the garden at the furthest, so I offered it to my neighbours who were over the moon with it.It was easy enough to build, it's sturdy and rolls nicely. The PVC material on the seat looks a little weird, and it's such a shame it has no arm rests, but apart from that it works fine for the use it now has.

Good wheelchair for adults
I have been using this adult wheelchair for a few people for daily mobility needs. Overall, it has been a reliable and comfortable wheelchair with a few minor drawbacks.Pros:• The comfortable padding ensures that sitting for long periods is not a problem.• This wheelchair is very easy to set up and use, making it convenient for daily activities.Cons:• The movement bars can be uncomfortable for the person pushing the wheelchair. In conclusion, this wheelchair is a great option for those needing a comfortable and easy-to-use mobility solution, though some might find the movement bars less comfortable when pushing.
