The BloomSky Weather Camera Station is a compact and easily installed, full featured weather device. A rugged housing surrounds an ultra-wide angle HD camera to give you a first person perspective of the sky and surrounding environment. Packed inside the 4 in 1 weather station are high-grade sensors to measure temperature, humidity, barometric pressure, detects precipitation. Weather data and real-time images are transmitted by the built in Wi-Fi module at regular intervals throughout the day. The wide-angle camera is adjustable throughout a 49-degree shooting angle, giving you the ability to capture the sky from various location or orientation. The images and data are easily accessed from the immersive BloomSky app, available for both iOS and Android. The app automatically assembles a time-lapse video at the end of each day, giving you a stunning view of the day’s weather in a matter of moments. BloomSky gives you a completely new way to study and interact with your environment.

A couple software upgrades away from being terrific
These are great units, but I have three immediate and very intense dissatisfactions. 1) The connectivity to wifi would be infinitely easier if a unit MAC address was made available. Additionally, any wifi network that has an initial (Click Here To Agree) login page, like ours at work, does not seem to be compatible with this system, as the unit offers no opportunity to (Click Here To Agree).2) The photo updates are too far apart, and as a result, the time lapse videos aren't smooth. A quick-moving storm recently passed through our state, and the BloomSky units in the area did a poor job of recording what happened. The storm represented only about 1 or 2 frames in each of the BloomSky time lapse videos, since the photos are recorded about 3-5 minutes apart. 3) The mounting arrangement is ingenious except for a single thing: the solar panel often reflects artificially high temperatures back into the sensor when mounted as shown

Five Stars
The HD photo is the icing on the cake. Still need auxiliary unit for "full" weather station.

Maybe someday
Was excited, finally a weather station that recharged the battery. It worked well for a couple months, then went offline. Still can’t get it back.

Love This Weather Station!
The media could not be loaded. I bought this weather station for my husband when he retired. He's very pleased with it and we've shared our enjoyment with one of our best friends who recently retired by buying him one! You'll have fun watching the videos of your past week's weather... you'll see the sunrises, the sunsets, the clouds float by and if you can have the camera aimed at a tree you'll see the wind blowing the leaves!Don't hesitate... just do it, you won't be sorry!

First weather station, very happy with it
I purchased my weather station directly from Bloomsky and I am currently in the market for the storm expansion to get a better idea of rainfall. I would give 5 stars, but I am still running into the intermittent notifications of rain which support has helped me with in the past. I have this installed in a remote location 1.5 hrs from my home. The weather can plow through quickly, and if when I see rain on the camera, I expect a rain notification. This prompts me to take a trip and check things out, ensure there are no leaks, etc.Rain notifications aside, I love it. I know what the ACTUAL weather is at my cabin and it seems to update every minute or two. This is crucial when you have to drive 1.5 hrs for supplies. I also enjoy having the ability to see the snow on the trees in the winter before heading up - something to look forward to.One other feature I like is the social feature, posting this or that to notify folks following the weather at the bloomsky location of what is happening - these can be personalized and used for marketing. Endless possibilities here, especially if you have a vacation rental/business that is heavily weather dependent.@Bloomsky - Can you put Storm on Amazon so I can shop with points and buy one? Thanks :)

Save your money, ITS NOT THAT GREAT
Originally purchased from Kickstarter, the first one I recieved was broken out of the box, took 6 weeks to get a replacement, which is the current one I have now, and it's a paperweight. It worked great for about 6 months, and then just quit working, it really is a GREAT IDEA and it's made really solid, sadly, the electronics that connect to your wifi has major issues staying connected, the manual connection/reconnection process is horrific at best and it spends more time disconnecting than it does actually working.

Best value for decently accurate station
The Bloomsky SKY2 setup and design are great, and combined with wireless and solar setup this station (including shelling out for the Storm add on) seems like the best value for your $ at this time. Compared to by neighbor's ambient station, the accuracy/sensor drift/calibration is way better. One it's all working I'm quite happy with the results, and integration with weather underground. Seems like a good company trying to do a good thing also. Important things to know from my experience:1) While SKY2 setup is great, the STORM add-on uses a completely separate connection to the network using a dongle on your router, and is more of a pain to deal with. My dongle failed whenever it rained for the first few weeks (but was sent a new one for free). New revision has worked great non-stop for a year.2) My experience with support was very good, although they seem overworked. New company scaling issues?3) Software to integrate with weatherunderground, and software in general, seems to gaining stability but could use some new options soon.4) Turns off at some point (probably to save battery) if wifi becomes unavailable. I've had to go turn it back on after my router went down.

Works great
I got the sky2 and the storm through kickstarter. So far the they are workeing great. The only issue I have encountered is that on sunny days the heat from the solar panel can affect the temperature readings. I'll be purchasing an additional tower mast to separate the solar panel and the sky2.

Deçu
Ne fonctionne plus moins d’un an après, très déçu car le concept est interessant.Les quelques problèmes que j’ai rencontré ont été réglé par les fabricants mais ils sont aux États Unis et donc tous les échanges se font en anglais.Maintenant cela me fatigue, je laisse tomber
