Much brighter than the OEM incandescent lights, Resistors in the box
These are a simple install with a flat head screwdriver or butter knife. You'll fine a groove on the outer end of each license plate light, then insert your tool end into the groove and push towards the center to release the lights.It doesn't show up well in the photos or directions, but there are two resistors included that need to plug into the square connector and the flat connector is what goes into the 194 bulb socket coming from the vehicle.For $16 and two minutes of your time, you're getting a big upgrade in brightness and will never have to worry about an incandescent bulb burning out. Quality of the housing feels as good as the original one.

Very easy install
These LED license plate lights are a very easy install. The factory lights pop out very easy. The new LED light simply plug into the existing bulb socket. The lights fit right back into the factory position. Very bright. Made very well. Great deal for the price. A beginner should be able to install these lights.
