Warhammer 40,000 Rulebook Hardcover – January 1, 2008

I was worried that this rulebook would be cheap and flimsy, however, the book is of great quality. The hardcover is incredibly sturdy and the most of the pages are in full colour. There are also plenty of diagrams and pictures depicting and explaining scenarios. Approximately 50%-60% of this rulebook are the cut and dry rules, and the rest is artwork and background information regarding the different armies.The rulebook is a very enjoyable read and does not lose your attention if read cover to cover. There is enough break-up in the explaination of the rules to keep you entertained. Just about everything including gameplay courtesies is covered in this book. If you are interested in learning about Warhammer 40k or are a fan of the books and videogames and are interested in learning about the tabletop game, this book is an excellent starting point. My only regret is that I did not order a codex with this book.The book includes a lot of general information on the armies but if you feel you will be diving into the game and not just testing the waters, I recommend ordering a codex along with the book.

If you want for the history and the flavour of W40k, this is the book for you. Great cost benefit

Just as described and without any blemish or wear to the book. I opened it and the sounds the book made tell me it was either the first or one of the few times it has ever been opened. Very satisfied and in practically arrived in a day. Also the book came in a clear, resealable plastic bag. I really enjoy this cause now I can use it to protect my book when not being viewed. Just good service all round. Also got a coupon to use on their main webpage.

This is a good book. It was used but there was not a whole lot of damage. It also shipped fast. I am very happy. Good purchase.

I knew this was a past edition of the book, I just wanted something to read through gameplay and to touch on codex for the different clans. With the VAST price difference between a brand new edition and this one... Ill take this one. Any person who NEEEEEDS a brand new one is either an uber fan (which is perfectly fine) or a gimmie gimmie fool that needs everything new and shinny (lame).Great value!

I was happy to receive this great book and my first 40K rule book (long live old 40K). But I bought a new copy and received what look like a (good condition) used book. The pages are still in good shape but the binding is a rough looking like it had been used. Otherwise the book is in good condition.

I've played for ten years and 2 different game generations, but this addition by far is the best version of the 40k board game I have ever played. Not only has it leveled unfair armies and rules, they have added things that although were not noticed previously, are so ibvious in the game play. If you are still rocking the third addition rules buy this book you will be happily pleased!

This book is helping me complete my collection of 40K rulebooks.

Book would have been in mint condition if it wasn't for the fat UK Postman who rammed it through the letter box. Highly recommended though. Just kill the Post man :)

Book ok but out of date, I shouldn't have been a cheapskate and should have bought the latest model but it is £47!!!
