Have used this for years with good results. They have changed the formula a bit and the taste is a bit different but still effective and palatable after a hard session.

Used to be great, now unpalatable.
I have been using SIS's REGO specifically the Chocolate version for about 3 years now for my post run and gym sessions. I loved it mixed well with just cold water, the taste and the results on dispelling any lactic acid build up and aiding my recovery for the next day. Since the change in recipe, I find it doesn't mix well and the taste is awful, so much so this will be my last purchase. Its a pity they changed to a Vegan recipe when only 5.8% of the population is Vegan, I'm all for choice so give me the original none vegan choice back and I may return. If anyone else finds a decent replacement let me know.

Great stuff, but avoid the new chocolate flavour
I've been using REGO for years after medium-distance runs, to replace calories and avoid feeling like a zombie, and it's worked well. I actually quite liked the old chocolate flavour (which was, contrary to other reviews, also vegan! they just advertised it less conspicuously), but the new chocolate flavour is a bit nastier. I recommend the vanilla flavour though! And the new formulation mixes a lot better, no more lumps of powder in the bottom/lid of my mixing bottle.

What a shame! Why?
What a shame! I have been buying this product for many years and now they decided to change the formula. Why? I just can't! After drinking, you are left with a strange after taste , a headache and upset stomach; probably too much sweeteners. It might be easier to blend but it's undrinkable.I am sad because it was the only one, after trying many, I could drink with great result. Hopefully, they can still recreate the old formula!

Step Backwards
I’ve been using Rego chocolate-flavoured recovery powder for a couple of years. While the taste has never been wonderful, it is now unpleasant. Moreover, this now has a metallic aftertaste. They have also changed the packaging, which is no longer easily recycled. The new bag also creates a bigger mess — the powder blows everywhere when the bag is closed and the bag is difficult to seal properly. Doesn’t anyone test these products before changing? Looks like I’ll be looking for a new recovery drink.

New version seems ok
First time buying the new version and the first time I've tried Vanillia flavour. I've been using SIS REGO for the last 3 1/2 years and I normally have chocolate flavour but thought I'd try this after reading some of the other reviews.If it does what the old version did then that's fine with me, however the taste is "ok", it's a bit too sweet really, almost bordering on the sickly side but bearable. (I don't eat a lot of sweet things normally and don't have sugar in tea or coffee). I'm sure SIS will get feedback on this and hopefully improve it in the future.Personally I don't like the pouch design, what was wrong with the tub!?When you close the pouch you get a puff of powder come out almost everytime and even though it says "100% recyclable pack", I don't think many local councils will take it, not even the soft plastics that some of the supermarkets take...it's a bit like the gels, not many places will take it for recycling (none that I know of). So a bit disappointed about that.Update: 13/12/2024 - finished this one and bought Strawberry....that one tastes ok initially but has the metallic taste too and is really quite horrible overall. I'll restock with Vanilla next time as I got used to it and wasn't too bad in th end.

Great tasting post recovery drink
Great tasting recovery drink, on the sweeter side (though negative reviews are surprising) but mixes well without any clumps. Nutrition perfect for post workout exercise - I use after runs and gym sessions. Definitely one of the best recovery drinks out there.

Rego Rapid Recovery should be consumed 30 -60 minutes post exercise for optimal recovery. Add 50g (approx. 2 full scoops) to 500ml of cold water and shake well. This product is not intended to be mixed with milk as it will slow down the absorption rate. Recommended no more than 3 servings per day. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
