Works but be sure your camera is set up correctly (not always straightforward) -- Pentax K1ii user
Initially, drive mode was not set to Infrared setting which caused the remote to not work. After changing the setting, it works as intended.

Does not work
Does not work on Canon 80D, despite it being listed as a supported model.

Simple, effective, obscure
I bought this for my Nikon D610 which uses an expensive Nikon remote control. The item arrived with instruction manuals in Chinese and French; not my languages. I downloaded the English manual from the JJC site. My usage for this control is time-delayed bracketed exposures. In "bulb" mode, this control can be made to work satisfactorily for timed release, so it's good. Fitting the connection into the camera requires more force than I think appropriate. A good value for the money. I'm not sure why the review panel includes "autofocus"; I do not perceive that functionality in this control.

Only Shutter Release Works on My Pentax K-1
The shutter release works, once you wade through the needlessly complicated detail in the instructions. However, the zoom function doesn't work (not in any DSLR cameras, it says), and remote video recording "only works with Pentax cameras that have video recording function and infrared receiver at the same time," whatever that means. I have both, but remote video doesn't work. Great features promised, but the fine print says otherwise.Start with 5 stars since the device works well for single shots, but minus one since zoom and video aren't supported after all, and minus 1 more for the poorly written instructions.

Works WAY better than expected.
I do real estate photography and have been using pocket wizards to wirelessly release the shutter of my Canon 6D Mark II. I wanted something that was less cumbersome and easier to set up. Bluetooth was not an option because I use the bluetooth signal to control my flashes. The 2.4GHz units are essentially what I have now, only smaller. I wanted something that I could attach to a lanyard and have at my fingertips at any time without any setup. However, I am often 20-30 feet away from my camera and so I needed a decent range. I looked at several other models however most had a range from 10' on the low end to 16' feet on the high end.b I did find one that was spec'd at 32. I admit that I was a bit guarded because of the absence of reviews and the claim of a long range. But for such a low price, I decided to try it.I used it thoughout a first photo session and it worked great for 200+ frames. I then tested it inside and out. Here are the results:- Indoors, it had a range of 40'- Outdoors in the shade, it had a range of 35'.- Outdoors In direct sunlight with about 60 degrees afternoon sun, with the camera facing away from the sun, it had a range of 30'.- Outdoors In direct sunlight with about 60 degrees afternoon sun, with the camera facing toward the sun, it had a range of 20'.Also, the two modes are perfect. The instant trigger works great. The 2 second delay also works great. No glitches. My only complaint is the absence of any sort of hole or loop for connecting to a lanyard. I ordered some adhesive pencil holders to stick to the back. Hopefully, that will do the trick. Regardless, I recommend having this even if you have other means of remote shutter release. It's a great backup, in any case.

Quite good
Arrived in a very timely manner. This unit replaces an older generic L3 style remote. The construction is more robust than the previous units I had.Switch has a very positive feel. With fresh battery (3.32V), unit functions at 38 feet (maybe further but that was the furthest I tried). Uncertain of distance as battery falls to 3.0V.Very happy with purchase.
