Works as it should
After messing with an Astro riveter, the type with the two large handles, and having problems with it, I thought I'd give this unit a try. I should have bought this one from the get-go, and save the aggravation with the Astro unit, not to mention the wasted money. I primarily bought this for 1/4" rivets and I have to say it does the job perfectly. I use 80-90psi and with the 1/4" rivets I have to give it two tries to get the stem broken. Not a problem and it's still super quick as compared to the manual tool Definitely a recommended buy. As others have stated, too bad there's not an instruction booklet with it, but I think as long as you add a few drops of hydraulic fluid before each use, it will continue to give good performance.

Dont rivet without it.
I just put 300+ stainless rivets into my motorhome rebuilding the upper belt line. Let me tell you, that was a job. I can't imagine doing that job without this tool. I was mostly on a ladder or scaffolding, often reaching out a ways.I learned you need to let it finish cycling between trigger pulls to be most effective. It worked every time. As the catch of the rivet tails started filling up, you needed to watch it a little more to make sure the next one fell in. I think I have a couple that didn't go in and fell out. Not a big deal at all. I expect it to keep using it for the lower belt lines as I work through them. I would not do this job without it.

Functional, but rivet stems keep getting stuck
I've used this on our converted horse trailer to attach hardware and trim. I ended up buying a new compressor to give it the pull I needed for consistent 90 PSI and it works better than when I first bought it. I had a lot of failed rivets, especially longer rivets and stainless. Aluminum are fine; I've taken it up to ABA 5-6. I probably should have spent a few more dollars on a better brand, but it will only get occasional use. The stems often get stuck as opposed to going through to the rear catcher.

Not as described
Pulled it out of the box and there is no guided under capable of working with the larger rivets that it comes with! Not as described. Also, when I did try it, it locked up and wouldn’t release the rivet it was on, leaving it stuck to the truck

3/16 Stainless Steel pop rivets? NO PROBLEM!
I'm working on my back on a creeper under a 1963 Airstream Trailer, re-fastening the belly aluminum to the iron frame above it. This air powered pop rivet tool is a life saver!I use stainless steel pop rivets as they do not galvanically react with either aluminum or iron. But you need a lot of force to set a 3/16 pop rivet made of stainless. This tool does the job!I did need to crank up the air pressure to the tool's maximum, and two hits were required for the longer rivets - but I could not have done the job without this tool. There are two-arm manual rivet tools - but they are too long to fit under a trailer like this.I appreciate the used nail collection cup as well.Price seems good to me!!
