Now the children can have healthy sandwich meats.

Well made stainless steel parts. Haven’t found many tested recipes to use, but am enjoying experimenting. Manufacturer recommends water bath cooking method. I’m branching out to using a pressure cooker. Cans are about 8 inches tall, so be sure it fits your cooker, whichever you use.

I love these presses. The only thing I might suggest is to have the metal on the lid get sanded down. There are sharp places on it that you have to be wary of.

Not to hard to use or clean, but it can be difficult getting the deli meat out once it is set. Putting a parchment paper ring in seems to help with meat removal.

Missing one can and Spatula

It has been a really long time since I bought lunch meat from the grocery store and a few months ago I just happened to glance at that section of bins to see what was available. I nearly died when I saw how little meat was in each pack and how expensive it was. I remember when I was a kid in the 70’s mom would buy a few packets of lunch meat and it would be enough to make sandwiches from the whole loaf of bread for 4 of us for a week. Now there isn’t enough meat in 1 pack to make me alone, one decent sandwich. So when I saw these deli meat press cans here on Amazon I began considering the possibilities of what I could make with them on a budget.This set of deli meat cans are pretty flimsy but should hold up well enough to make a few meat logs to turn into sandwiches. The mention of a recipe book “being emailed when the order ships” is a farce. You have to scan the QR code in the pamphlet that came with them which takes you to a website and fill out a form to have them email it to you. But you still don’t get an recipe book, you get a digital PDF copy of the pamphlet that you already have and now they have your email address to exploit. But then they want more personal info in exchange for a 3 year warranty on a tin can and a spring. Probably best that you don’t bite the phishing hooks.

This is our second set of meat makers and we love them. Just like the first one we own. Having three now we can make a variety of lunchmeats for ourselves at one time! All three fit easily into one pot. We have made turkey and chicken meats so far, and both were delicious. LOVE that they have no funky ingredients!!! PERFECT for what we love to eat. SO easy to make, too - this kit is all inclusive because it has all you need - the stainless steel tins, spring presses for inside, a couple recipes, thermometer and even scrubby sponges to clean them out! GREAT start set.
