After installing the battery, the watch did not work and I removed the battery and tested it at only 1.125 volts. Then I realized the battery was idle, not in a watch with movement. I reinstalled the battery and moved the watch around and it worked fine. I retracted the complaint.

I've had my watch for many years. When it stopped holding a charge I contacted Citizen and was informed that it would cost $150 plus to trouble shoot and repair it. It has been sitting on my dresser for several years. I decided to search for a solution and was informed to replace the battery. The new battery installed easily and the watch came back to life. It charges okay so the solar part seems to be working. The watch is a Citizen SkyHawk C651 Eco Drive. I bought it on sale while on a cruise possibly in 2002.

Put them in my Citizen Eco Drives and both started working right away!

This battery arrived almost completely flat. Initial charging for several hours it still indicated low charge, however after stopping the hand, then resetting this was corrected. Charging for 24 hours to ensure fully topped off but seems to be working well now.

My Citizen Solar Tech ( now the Eco-Drive) WR200 titanium watch's battery finally will not hold charge any more after 30 years. It is a very tough watch since it is made of titanium and still looks pretty good. So I would like to put a new battery in but this watch is kind unusual since it has no screw-down back. The watch's crystal was pressed in to seal the whole watch. After removed the watch bezel and crystal, I found out the watch has a Panasonic MT920 battery inside. This battery is the exact replacement. After the new battery charged by desk lamp for a few hours, the watch is working great. I hope this battery will last another 20 some years.

I had stored a Citizen EcoDrive watch in a drawer, not realizing that these watches need to be exposed to light in order to keep the battery (capacitor) charged. After 3 years, the capacitor could not be revived.When I took the watch to a jeweler at a mall kiosk and the watch still did not work, I did some research and realized that they probably put a regular watch battery in it.That same research showed me how easy it is to buy a new one and replace it myself. Buying that, and an inexpensive watch kit from Amazon had the watch functioning flawlessly in no time at all!
