Boots and the Law: A Story of Army Jag Service in Fort Polk and Vietnam

Justice in Vietnam? Maybe.
Colonel Brick, who served as an army lawyer in Vietnam, tells fictionalized stories of soldiers who are accused of crimes. His descriptions of cultural life in Saigon, including the food, the crooks, and the girls, are also very entertaining.

The Rest of the Story...
It's about 230 pages, and I read it straight through. I pulled two tours in Nam, both as an advisor to ARVN combat battalions; read a lot on the war, but never had read anything on what happened in noncombat units. Brick is an excellent writer with photographic memory, and he's done great work with this book. I found it totally interesting, and shocking in places-even for a guy who thought he knew everything.
